Good quality tap wrench for price, only used a couple of times so far but it’s well made and works well.

Good Tap Wrench For the Price!
This is a solid and well made tap wrench. Comfortable to use up to M16. Only slight niggles are that the locking pin is not spring loaded and you need to manually push it back to insert a tap plus there is no v-notch in the pin. The lack of a notch in the pin means that ALL the force is only on two sides of the tap sitting in the v-notch of the anvil. In use this means that taps can rotate and quickly wear the notch if the wrench is only tightened by hand. A tommy bar of some sort is necessary to ensure that the tap can't rotate on the flat surface of the locking pin. Not a big deal however and the wrench is good value for money for such a sturdy tool.

A proper tap wrench at a budget price
Robust and very sturdy tap wrench, clearly better made than those cheap tap wrenches which come with many budget kits. Has nice deep central jaws to clamp a decent length of the square drive on the tap without wobble.Used this on first job with an M16x2 tap no problem and the design allows plenty of space on the arms for purchase and grip. Did not flex or work loose at all during operation - it has a handy locking ring which prevents the screw backing off.Was delivered liberally protected with oil and is nicely finished with no burrs or sharp edges. If, like me, you’ve been frustrated by cheap holders which wobble and work loose part way through the job then this is exactly what you are looking for to do a good job. Very nice bit of kit.

Great quality built to last
I bought this to replace the cheap tap wrenches bundled in most tap and die sets which are frankly useless. I wanted a tap wrench that was both solid and robust and wouldn't fall apart after a few uses. This wrench is exactly that and more, I believe it will last for a very long time! Bigger than you expect, it is suitable for M8-M16 taps according to the writing on the handle. It will probably do smaller taps but the size will make it difficult to handle them correctly. The locking nut is extremely useful and makes sure the tap stays solidly in place. At this price, this tap wrench is an absolute bargain - highly recommended.

Good Quality Item!
Quite large and heavy in black finished steel well oiled and plastic wrapped it comes in a handy sliding box of the type used for drills, cutters etc. Perhaps 8 1/2 inches long when fully wound in and marked as suitable for use with M8 to M16 (or 5/16 to 5/8") taps. Well finished it's a much better design than the ones you get with the cast centre section and the threaded in arms that always seem to come loose. Probably equally good for use with reamers as well I'm 100% happy with this it's just what I need. If kept dry and oiled in the box this is the kind of tool that will easily last a lifetime.

A professional's tool
This may not be the most expensive or the absolute best tap wrench but it is solidly built and comfortable to hold, rather an important consideration for a hand tool. The price is excellent for what you get and certainly better than the tool it replaces. Yes you can get better, for rather more money, but unless you are tapping threads several times every day it will do all that is required of it.
