Q: Can this be consumed raw?

Straight out of the bottle - yes.

Q: Is this the type of mustard oil used to enhance the flavor or horseradish to make "wasabi powder?

This oil has a hosteradishy flavor and bite all its own. I think you could mix it with Wasabi powder no problem

Q: Does it say massage oil on the bottle? Why is this so expensive?

No it does not say massage oil. It says for use in foods and cooking. It is a large bottle and is imported from Australia which may explain the cost.

Q: How fresh is it, and is it labeled with a press date (not interested in an expiration date)

No press or expiration dates. Haven’t opened the Amazon bottle yet. Still have a little in a bottle purchased locally. I prefer this brand because it is food quality and tastes as good or better than other brands.
