A very nice piece of leather! It came with a few scratches, but that did not bother me. It scratches very easily, so if that bothers you, you may want to look elsewhere. I did not expect striations, but I love that my piece has them! It came with nice straight edges, so there was no waste when cutting. It comes rolled up, so I had to roll it the opposite direction for a day or so to get it to lay flat. It did not have any strong or unpleasant odor. Just a very light leather smell.I was able to craft a very nice, simple traveler's notebook from it. I would buy this again.

This piece of leather was amazing the thickness was perfect for the journal covers I was making. It was easy to work with and I ended up buying it in 4 more colors for to make more for my friends

advertised thickness was 2.0mm. My piece came in at 1.2mm. absolutely useless for my work

changed rating to 5 stars. when unpacked leather smells badly, irritating. i hung it for 2 days and it is ok now. leather is pretty soft but strong, color is deep.

I use leather pieces like this for product photography. They make a nice, rich background. This particular color is phenomenal for the items that I photograph. They are a good thickness so they lay flat and they have a soft finish that really keeps your focus on the products being photographed.There is no strange smell and the size is perfect for my purposes. It just plain works for me.
