I like that I can use my filaments and package them like factory shipped. This will help keep out a lot of moisture.The vacuum works really well and collapsed the side of the cardboard reel. LolI generally hold the white valve while vacuuming and tilting it here and there so that it’ll expel the air faster.It takes me around 2 minutes to expel the air inside the bags. I could hear a squealing type noise while using it and I thought perhaps I wasn’t making a good seal, but then I could literally watch all the air being sucked out very rapidly.I’ve only had it for a day, so I don’t know if the valves will fail or leak.I like the idea of being able to minimize any moisture getting to my filaments when not in use. You’ll also get desiccants packs to use which change colour indicating moisture.These packs change dried and reused.You can buy extra bags from eSun online without buying a whole kit.

My TPU printing have greatly improved once i stated using this. I thought a fleshly open spool of filament should be safe for moisture but thatvis not the case. I dry every spool before printing, even new spools

I have found that many of the bags don't hold their seal but given the price this was ok. I generally just put the filament in the bag and squeeze out as much air as I can. I collect up desiccant from anything I buy that happens to have it and keep a bunch in each of the bags. Seems to work so far.

When you first use it you will think it's not working, especially if you didn't squeeze some of the excess air out. Be patient it will vacuum pack that filament like it was a pack of hotdog.I really didn't think I would use it that often but it's simple and fairly quick if you squeeze the excess air out.The picture show a spool 6 days after I stored it. So far no leaking.

I've had some filaments that have come with some levels of moisture in them and my partner is not a fan of me drying filament in the oven. I got one of these and it has multiple settings and times you can set. Although the "levels" are a bit weird and so is the "timer" since they don't read in specific durations that make sense unless you read the manual to correlate those values.For instance mine had 1, 2 and 3. If you check the manual you'll see these correlate to different temperatures for things like pla, petg, nylon, etc. But of course, it would be easier to just have a temp value, in my opinion.The timer was also not in minutes which would have been nice. Honestly these are fairly small gripes for not all that big of a deal. The fact is, the dryer works well and does help dry out the filament. After I'm done drying a filament and put it on the reel for use, I'll throw another I plan on using in the box to dry that for the next set of prints.The reels inside allow for smooth movement, so the reels don't seem to go into snag mode since it allows pretty free movement without reel pushback, and they're smooth, so not a lot of tension on your extruder gears. This is ideal for something with softer filaments such as TPU.All in all, good dryer box, works well, and is a good buy.
