Looks good and sounds good.
I like the style and sound. The price at $399 seems a bit high though, considering the cartridge/stylus offered. The unit feels solid to me and I like the feet. Power switch is on the back, but that doesn't really bother me. It is easy to find and depress. Spinner has autostop when the record hits the run out groove. Internal preamp is not bad.To aid in alignment, JBL should provide tonearm length, overhang, etc. in their printed materials. Also, would like to see them offer matching headshells to try out other carts. I haven't found one yet.At $399, I'd like to see a better cartridge come stock with the unit.

Warped platter causes playback static
I have received two of these turntables, both with warped platters that cause playback static. The first was more warped than the second I received upon contacting JBL, but the second was still warped. Avoid this turntable playback quality matters to you.

super excited about this turntable!
This JBL Spinner bluetooth turntable is just perfect for our needs. It's designed to be an entry-level turntable for people new to record collecting, and it's actually the first turntable JBL has ever produced, which surprised me. We are not new to records, or to JBL audio technology, since we are both in our 50s, but we have hung onto our record collections for decades and haven't had a turntable to play them on in many years. This was a perfect choice for us because it's so easy to set up and it works with both bluetooth speakers and wired speakers. It's been ages since I set up a stereo system, and I am far from technical. Husband (who is a super techie person and audiophile) wasn't around, so I just followed the quick start guide to assemble the turntable (easy) and balance the toning arm (I was intimidated at first, but that wasn't difficult at all either), connected it to my Skullcandy speaker via bluetooth, put on my old Sticky Fingers record and bam! We are now able to play all of our old 33s and 45s!I like the look of this turntable; it's classic. We went with the gold trim, but it also comes in JBL orange trim. The dust cover fits tightly, which is important since we have pets, and we don't want pet hair getting in there. Looks very cool and dare I say even vintage, sitting on top of our old stereo cabinet. The audio quality is excellent. It's an interesting experience to listen to all the pops and imperfections of old records coming through a bluetooth speaker. I played some newer records also that were produced with better sound quality, and the sound is really, really good on those. I'm sure some of that will depend on what speakers you choose to use, but even with just my single bluetooth speaker I am blown away by how great it sounds. We will probably wire some speakers to it later. It has a built-in amp, but somewhere around here I still have my old Pioneer amp from the 80s, so will eventually switch that internal amp off (there's a switch on the back) and give my old one a try. I love that this turntable is flexible enough to make it really simple for me to set up and run with, but can also be expanded upon using old-school audio technology. It even has a plug for earphones, but you can use bluetooth earphones also. The one thing I wish it did that it doesn't is return the tone arm to its cradle when it reaches the end of the record. The arm is fully manual, so it doesn't do that - but it does shut the spin off when the tone arm reaches the end of a record, so it doesn't just endlessly bump against the label. It's not a problem, just a preference.I absolutely love this turntable and have already spent quite a few hours sorting through and enjoying our old records. I highly recommend this turntable for anyone just getting into vinyl or for someone who wants a simple, flexible system that works with just about any speakers or earphones you already have, but that can grow with your audio obsession as you want to add new tech. Highly recommend!

Returned for refund
1. Worked 3 times, then quit. Paired to my JBL Flip 6 portable blue tooth speaker, but nothing else.2. Tone arm balance inaccurate. Followed directions, but arm still came to rest a centimeter off the record.3. Attempted output to aux port on amplifier, but no sound.4. Attempted 4th session, but turntable would not turn on, despite trying on 3 different outlets.5. Returned for refund.
