This was bought to replace a good working 'ticking' movement with a silent-sweep type. We had to return a slightly cheaper 'sweep' movement as the hands didn't fit (incompatible hand-fitting size) and it was returned and refunded by Amazon. I ordered this one with all fingers crossed, as I'd not come by non-fitting hands to a standard quartz movement before (I accept that high-torque movements for large-dial clocks often or usually have different fittings on the minute hand at least).Fitting was easy. The screw centre mount was very slightly longer by a mm or two than needed, but the rubbery washer/spacer supplied made up for that and as the movement also clips into this case, the centre nut is only nipped up gently. Very glad to say the existing hands fitted perfectly and also, the sweep mechanism seems even quieter than the previous replacement.Time will tell as to timekeeping. Quartz movements don't usually need adjusting in between the summer and winter hourly change, but we do have one that loses almost a minute a month consistently (a lot I'd say for a quartz type). High hopes though as this one is smooth and very quiet in running,

I measured the mechanism carefully, and bought it. It arrived, and I took the old clock off, and secured the new one. The case fit, and the securing bolt fit. All looking good....Then I found out that the clock's arms are not a universal fit, and the original hands did not fit the new one. The holes on the old hands were too big, so drilling a bigger hole wasn't an option.Which sadly makes it pretty useless.So it comes without a cover and arms.....and if you do want to take a chance, measure the mechanism, so the cover fits, measure the protrusion the hands sit on, to make sure the diameter of the hole is compatible.Then measure the diameter of the hole on your current hands, and then ask the seller if they will also be compatible on the new mechanism.Maybe there is a clever way of sorting all this out? But if you just wanted a simple replacement, quickly changed, then good luck!Still fancy buying it???

Initially ok but after a few months not keeping time , even with new batteries

This was exactly the right product for my favourite kitchen wall clock that had stopped working.Very easy to do the replacement and once again my clock works a dream 🥰

This replacement electric clock mechanism didn’t work for me though to be fair it could well have been my fault. I removed the old mechanism and inserted the new one but whilst the hour and fitted easily the minute hand did not and it could be that I pressed too hard as the clock mechanism was reluctant to work. So, I have given up on it, I had a spare clock anyway and the mechanism wasn’t very expensive.
