Q: What is the effect of hair straightener? Is it suitable for thin or other hair types?

The flat iron can straighten hair well , it is suitable for all hair types which not make hair frizzy.

Q: How do I open the flat iron? I don’t have instructions

Forgive LahniBandz for answering negatively as the instructions does not come with how to open the lock iron. I had to figure it out by squeezing the iron together and pull down on the the ridges by the lower handle where the swivel cord is. Unbelievable how they could sell a product without full instructions!

Q: Is there a gap between the plates?

There is a button to make the plates super close so no there is no gap between the plates.

Q: Mine doesn't heat up! at all! why would you sell a product you didn't test first?!

You need to press the Power button for 3 seconds and a light will come illuminate the temperature control section. Then you can short press the Power button to set your temperature to use. May i know if you long press power button for 3 seconds and short press to choose the temp?
