These are not sold in store and i am glad i found them as i need new pins often. They fit my machine but are longer than the original pins so the lid does not close but i am ok w that. Good value/price

The ad says this will fit most moisture meters. It does provide some measurements for its use. I just received a new IVRICH FY886 moisture meter and thought that I would order some additional pins should they get bent. They look very similar.Although they look very similar the thread lengths are too short and so they will not fit this meter. So unless you have the ability to measure in MM items this small, you will not be able to know for sure if this will work for your meter. These would have been great to have for the meter but, they will not work at least for the IVRICH FY886 meter.

I purchased these because I didn't feel like spending $13 on four replacement pins for my General Tools MMD4E moisture meter. $8 for 10 pins vs $13 for 4 pins seemed like a good bargin.The good:These pins screw directly into the ports on my MMD4E and MM7 moisture meters.The readings appear to be very close to the original pinsThe bad:The overall length and diameter of these pins are larger. They are noticeably longer and likely 1.5x the diameter of the OEM pins. This likely makes them more robust. However, for any sort of hardwoods (I tried Doug Fir, cedar, oak, ash, maple and alder) they are very hard to push in. The softwoods mentioned have no issues, but I was unable to press them in more than a mm or two to the oak, ash or maple.So beware -- they will work, but depending on how accurate you like to be (the deeper I insert the pins, the more accurate the moisture reading appears to be, even on a fresh split) they may not do the job.

The worst thing is when you reach for your moisture meter the probes are damaged and no spares. This is a great set of spares.

Got these to replace my broken and bent tips. They are much longer than the factory tops but the readings show the same. Only downside is it will not fit in the storage case with these longer tips but they are functionally the same.
