Works well except the brightness may vary over time
It was easy to install and it looks and feels good. It gives a decent range of brightness of my LED bulbs. The only issue is that, sometimes, the brightness of bulbs may start changing over time without any input; it would get slightly brighter for a few seconds, then reduce back, then get slightly brighter again, etc. I noticed this on low settings. Slightly turning the dimmer usually fixes the problem.

These are great.
I was so impressed with these, I ended up changing out every light switch in my house for them.Installation was easy, setting them up for minimum light levels was effortless and they've been almost completely reliable so far.My one issue was that the dials are rather delicate so if you're a little ham-fisted when turning them on and off, it may crack inside and fall off. I fixed the one that did with some glue, then went around the rest to reinforce them before they eventually broke. No problems at all since. The big advantage I've noticed was the power savings since I've replaced all the switches, simply because I can set the light level to what I actually want instead of relying on the wattage of the bulb to be somewhere near.

Simple and effective dimmer for LED lighting
This dimmer switch fits easilly in an existing light switch pattress box, and connects to the existing 2-wires (live and switched, no neutral required). This means it takes only a few minutes to fit and get operational. I purchased it to replace an old dimmer that had been installed by the previous owner, when the ceiling lamps it controled were all incandescent, and therefore took more than 180Watts. When modern low-energy LED bulbs were fitted, the old dimmer struggled to work properly as the power consumption was now low (circa 20W), so the dimmer caused flickering. The new Zigtiger dimmer worked a treat (it can control loads between 3 and 150W). A further benefit was that the old dimmer needed to be rotated for the on/off action (click). My wife has arthritis and struggled to rotate it past the 'click'. The Zigtiger dimmer has a push-on / push-off action and is thus much easier for her. The dimmer rotation is also very easy and smooth. Recommended!

Designed to fail
The media could not be loaded. Dirt cheap for a reason: these seem designed to fail. The handle is made of incredibly cheap plastic that breaks very easily (see video). You'll be left with the naked switches whose spring will eventually fail.

Check dimmer knob travel
I used this item to replace a malfunctioning dimmer switch on a bedside light. No problem with fitting it. When it came to actually use it, I found that it was a bit 'iffy' with the on/ off function press function.I then took of the knob, and had a look and it, and it appeared to me that the internal 'clamp' was a bit long tbh. I inserted a very small piece of packing into the centre of it, which then allowed the 'doctored' knob to work the on/off function without any problems. In the photo, the knob from the old switch is at the top, and you may be able to see there is an internal 'bar' inside which reduced the internal barrel length. In the new knob there is no 'bar' to do similar. So, if you are having problems with on/ off function, try a thin bit of packing and see if that solves your issue.

Excellent Trailing Edge Dimmer Switch
I used to think that all dimmer switches were the same. It was only recently that I learned about leading edge and trailing edge dimmers and the difference between them. The commonly bought switches are leading edge and I had problems with humming/buzzing and flickering at low light levels regardless of whether I used filament bulbs or dimmable LEDs. This Zigtiger dimmer is trailing edge and gives perfect performance throughout the range of brightness with no buzzing. The added bonus is the ability to program the brightness at the minimum setting. I found the programming extremely simple; just press the button slowly like it says, about one push per second.Installation was straightforward into the existing 25mm back box. No spacer was necessary but I did have to flatten the bottom screw tab as it got in the way of the back of the switch. (There are four screw tabs on this back box - two horizontal which were used for fixing the switch and two unused vertical ones). I am very pleased with this dimmer switch and wish I’d known about trailing edge circuitry years ago.
