The spring parts are different from the springs of other adjustable hand grippers. GD IRON GRIP is made with compression springs. So it is more durable and stronger than tension springs. When using this does it hurt your hand?

No! but I would advise you start at the lightest setting including attaching the extenders; this will allow your hands to build strength over time. Start with no more than a few minutes every second day and progress forward when you reach that point, "remember to go easy at first".

How do I do maintenance? Need to add some lubricant on the specific area regularly?
