DEWALT Electric Sander, 1/4 Sheet, 14, 000 OPM (DWE6411)

For decades now I've used Dewalt tools. Yup, I still have my first, and trusty, perfectly functioning 14.4v drill. :-)Recently, I found myself needing a sander for around the house projects.Don't ask me why but I didn't want to go with the 20V cordless sander, although I already have the Drill, and two batteries. Nope, the old nut bar was set on a corded sander.Okay so, it's been a long while since I used one, and yeah, it's a groaner, but I read the directions before anything else.Glad I did. This little sander is really nifty (do people still say nifty these days), it really is.I like that I can use full size sheets of sand paper and 1/4 them to fit this unit.Second, how cool is it that they provided a square plastic block to perforate the paper after you clip it in place.Doesn't matter what orientation you use the plastic block, it works from all directions.Third, I love that little catch bag on there. It is good at getting a pretty fair amount of the dust. Does it get all the dust? No, but at this price point, what sander does? Not a deal breaker.The sander is robust, that little motor gets after it, for sure, and it's not nearly as noisy as I thought it would be.The unit is also pretty comfortable to work with. It fits my hands well, and I didn't notice much, if any fatigue after sanding down a large main wall. The results were excellent.Nope, I'm not a home remodel Pro, but now I can play one on TV.If this sander is anything like the other DeWalt tools I have, I would expect a lot of dependable use in the years to come.

Had this for about a year. When its used there in no mercy and it has preformed well. No scratches or swirls, takes the pressure OK. Does the corners well, which is why I purchased it. Nice job on live edge pieces and table tops.Easy to maneuver ands fits my medium size had well. I use a compressor to clean it out after heavy use.

Sander works great. Two different sides when attaching paper. One side is great. The other side is a pain in the anatomy.

I love this sander. The dust collection system collects most of the dust. It is comfortable to hold. It is way more powerful that my old palm sander. The system for installing a sheet of sandpaper is easy and very secure. I still prefer 1/4 sheet sanders over random orbital. The paper security is much more secure than hook and loop which seems to degrade with saw dust.

It works very well for me. We have been using it while renovating our new house and I’ve had no complaints with it. You will need an extension cord if you plan to use it far away from an outlet because the cord is not very long. It is very high powered though.

Easy to use and lightweight. Sands well and easy to load. Included dust collector works good but I used a vacuum collector due to having such a large area. Seems very durable and priced decent.

Love this sander. It works very well and it was a great price compared to hardware stores. Sanding performance depends on the grit needed, but I used three different grits and it all worked great. One thing I truly like is the filter that connects to the back to stop the dust from flying everywhere. It works fast and appears very durable.
