Q: Is this swaddle made out of organic fabric ?

No this is not made out of organic cotton. We do have other swaddles that are organic though

Q: There is a small opening at the back of the swaddle. What is the purpose of it?

The slit in the back is there so you can use the swaddle with bouncers and swings. We do not recommend using a swaddle with an infant car seat.
