Q: What type of flame retardants are used on the pillow?

We do not use any flame retardants on the pillow. Rest assured. We use CertiPUR Certified foam. Our pillows are made without PBDEs, TDCPP, TCEP flame retardants, mercury, lead and heavy metals, formaldehyde, phthalates Thanks!

Q: Does this come with a pillowcase or do you need to purchase one seperately?

It comes with a cover, but you’ll want to put a pillowcase on it. I have been happy with a regular pillowcase I use on my queen pillows. It doesn’t look as pretty as a fitted one, but it matches my bedding and does not change the support or benefit of the product.

Q: What is the distance between the side supports in the Large pillow?

I have not measured the distance, but contrary to what others say, the sides are not further apart on the large pillow. The main difference is that the large size is thicker and thus, offers better neck support. The overall dimensions are the same. This helps to keep your head in place. I have used and compared both sizes at home. I recommend the large for everyone with a neck. Also, if you experience heat, get the silk cover. Hope this helps.

Q: Is this pillow good for side sleepers?

No! Back sleeping only. This is a great pillow if you were previously a side sleeper and are trying to stop. You can comfortably turn your head side to side, but want to position your body flat. I have tried side sleeping or accidentally rolled over in the middle of the night and it causes a stiff sore neck.
