A Very Helpful Book
A must have for anyone who thinks they engage in impulsive and self-destructive behaviours. The book offers insight into the what, why and how.

Not meant to for self-learning
This book is not meant for self-learning. There's no indication or when, how, how long to practice the skills. It's just a giant dump of things to do. It's just incredibly overwhelming if you have no idea where to start. There's no structure to it. Maybe it's helpful in individual or group therapy but if you are trying to do DBT alone, do not buy this

Please buy this book!
Truly a wonderful book. I couldn’t afford therapy but this has been such an incredible help, words cannot describe. I’m so happy with how my life has changed because of the lessons this book has taught. If you’re willing to commit to a it’s activities and lessons, even without a therapist in person the results can be astonishing. As a sufferer of BPD, sick of feeling like I’m losing my mind, this has truly changed my life

Got for self improvement, uses easily digestable language and practical exercises.
After having gone through CBT in the past with a therapist, i got this book to work through and to supplement my mental health journey. At first I was worried the language would be clinical or prohibitive for the low-income or individual seeker, it was not. The analogies in the books were clear, it provided space for the individual to work through, and it points out pitfalls that a therapist can help with should you struggle. Granted, I have had past psychological help and work and am unsure how this book may be useful to an individual who hasn't gone through any clinical assistance. Overall, a great book and resource.

Amazing for BPD
Both my partner and I suffer with BPD but have really struggled to get sufficient therapy or support. This book is absolutely amazing. It really breaks down your thought patterns and how you can work to change those in a healthy way. When you’re in the midst of angst and impulsive feelings it’s really difficult to make choices that will be beneficial to you and this book helps implement those habits. Couldn’t recommend this more.

Packed full of useful ideas
Useful for filling your own ideas in and working your way through at your own pace. Waiting lists are so long so it can be good to get an idea of the basics in your own time and have a look. A really big book that explains really well about many things giving examples and explains in a really modern, non-patronising way, making it clear that it's up to you and down to you! Loads of activities to do and would recommend.

Amazing, seriously
Firstly, these people writing bad reviews because this workbook is too triggering to them. That's the point! This book is definitely going to make most of us struggle especially when we have trauma or strong emotions. But we need that to work through it!! We need to feel uncomfortable, triggered, to get through our problems. We can't be solved by comfort alone. We need to feel this way to learn how to cope, manage, and then overcome these feelings! With struggle comes success. I promise that. If you are scared of being pushed outside your emotional comfort zone, It will be okay. These are core skills we are learning here, and skills that will help us our entire lives! So consider the potential pros and the consMoving on, this workbook was recommended to me by my therapist. I am so thankful for that. My favourite chapter so far is 5; "MINDFUL COMMUNICATION WITH OTHERS" pages 128-133. Seriously amazing stuff, and I am hopeful that this will last with me thru my life and help me with my relationships, be it friends, partners, co workers, or acquaintances. I'm excited to read even more. I was very skeptical of this book but now I'm really grateful to have found it. I'm grateful to have many pages of advice and life skills to be taught.
