good adapter
Using to get lavs to a sound recorder. Works great. No extra noise or interference. Pricy, but once you buy it, it seems really nice

GREAT for KORG VOLCA synthesizers and MONOTRIBE. (MONOTRONs too, probably.) Any synth or audio device with dual-mono 3.5mm out.
Bought these for use with Korg's small tabletop synths (I have the Volca Bass, Volca Keys, Volca Sample and Monotribe) and--used with a proper 3.5mm stereo to 3.5mm stereo cable--the output is improved dramatically when running them to a live or studio mixer or the XLR input of a computer interface. These synths have a reputation for being both noisy (high noise floor) and quiet (low output). This adapter solves or greatly reduces that problem pretty nicely. You might have to turn your trim knob and channel slider down because the signal will run HOT.I did a signal shootout and my Volca Bass has the most powerful output out of the three Volcas, with the Keys being the quietest and most in need of the help. Using this on the Sample will eliminate the stereo spread. The Volca Sample is a stereo device, so a 3.5mm to 1/4" dual splitter cable should be used for that unless you don't mind using it as a mono device. Just a heads-up.The Monotribe does have a 1/4" out as well as the 3.5mm headphone jack, but if you use this adapter on a stereo cable running from its 3.5mm jack, you get a pretty serious signal boost over the larger 1/4" output. It gives you an extra option.Overall, I'm impressed.

Helps pair Rode Wireless Go with pro grear inputs!
I'm a HUGE fan of the Rode Wireless Go II systems. I've got a couple of the Wireless Go II and just got the Pro version. I think what they have built is amazing for smaller production crews and they have been rock solid. The only "issue" I've had is trying to integrate them into other production gear, specifically a full sound board. I do some livestream work and often use the Rode Go mics on the talent. However, getting a clean signal into the sound board was always a challenge. These little adapters make quick work of doing that! You can now patch directly into a sound board without combining a weird mix of adapters that look like something out of an old Frankenstein movie (and still probably wouldn't work)!I know they are a little pricey but the fact that they are designed by Rode to work specifically with their products gives me peace of mind. And if it saves the stress of one bad audio problem then it is worth EVERY penny!

Works but be aware this version doesn't provide power-in power
Despite being advertised as TRS compatible to convert a 3.5mm TRS to XLR, this adapter didn't work withmy Boya BY-MM1+. Yes, I tested both the cables TRS to TRRS and TRRS to TRRSS that came with the microphone, and all is working fine, except when I introduce the Rode Mini-Jack Female to XLR Male Adapter adapter into the signal chain.Update:After connecting Rode support, it turns out that this adapter, by design, doesn't provide power-in for microphones that require it (like the case of Boya BY-MM1+). I miss this spec of the adapter and now I'm providing 5/5 starts since the construction is solid and sound quality is noiseless.

Great electrical performance but mechanical concerns.
This works well, but has mechanical problems. I have yet to find a simple adapter like this that performs electrically this well - most others have ground loop problems, poor shielding, or are simply unable to loop through phantom voltages properly. It is a shame Rode went cheap on the connector mechanics, this is otherwise a VERY nicely made, compact product that interfaces with mic systems that may or may not need phantom power. All issues seem to be due to a loose 3.5mm input jack connection. If I keep the mic/cable steady on a table, it always worked well but with almost any movement, I had some kind of noise. What is very nice is the ability for the adapter to interface with a mic that had its own internal battery or when I had mics that needed the phantom voltage via my recorder. Unfortunately, the mechanics need improvement for 100% reliability.I connected this to my Tascam DR40 recorder and used 4 different mono mics - 1 JK lapel mic, 1 AT lapel mic, 1 AT shotgun, 1 old PC dynamic mic from an older HP computer. All of them had noisy electrical connection from the 3.5mm plug to the adapter. I could rotate or tug on the plug and would constantly get static, much more than seemed reasonable. I could plug these same mics into my Sony RX10ii camera directly, or through a mono-stereo adapter and NEVER had any connection issues direct to my camera. It appears there is not enough contact area on one of the ring terminals inside the adapter.

Perfect little adapter
I use this on occasion to connect a wireless microphone to my audio interface, which is connected to my MacBook Pro. I've used it in the past with the Rode Wireless Go II and currently the Hollyland Lark M2 and it works without any problems.I'm not a pro audio person, so I don't know about noise floors and so forth, but if you're just looking for an easy way to connect a microphone that has a TRS connection to an audio interface that needs an XLR input, this works great for that.

RØDE 3.5mm TRS Female to XLR Male - Maybe Not What You Want!
It is mechanically robust and as wired it does THAT well. It appears to short Tip and Ring from the 3.5mm side and connect them to one of the balanced inputs of the XLR. The other XLR input, XLR ground, and 3.5mm ground are connected together. As an output from XLR balanced mono to 3.5mm TRS stereo this is good (though in that case you would expect a female XLR...).However, as an input to XLR balanced from Stereo 3.5mm TRS , right and left (ring and tip) are shorted together. For most modern electronics this will work fine, but I just happen to own two different Positive Grid Spark amps, which do not like their tip and ring stereo 3.5mm outputs shorted together. Depending on what you are doing it sounds bad.I buzzed this out a few times to make sure I got it right. I expected the XLR to be connected to 3.5mm TRS as a balanced 1/4" TRS would be to an XLR. I am pretty sure that there is no balanced standard for 3.5mm TRS so maybe my expectations are wrong...

Rode XLR adapters
These adapters work great plugged into my Zoom H6 for my Comica microphones. They feel really solid and well built.

Excelente, Rode nunca decepciona
Lo compré para conectar unos lavalier Boya XM6 a una grabadora Zoom H6 y funcionan excelente, sin ningún problema. Cabe destacar que este adaptador no soporta micrófonos con Phantom Power, pero con los demás no debería de tener problemas.
