Hammond 171A ISOLATION TRANSFORMER

I give it 4 stars because it is very low AMP

The transformer is a death hazard, it is not a isolation transformer, it has a voltage potential of 182 Volts between the hot lead from the transformer and the hot receptal of the wall plug. I was testing a motor speed controller with the scope and got knocked off my chair from electrical shock. I tried calling them but their phone system would not put me thru to anyone, or leave a message

I am seeing minimal voltage loss in alternating current and it keeps me safe thank you.

The circuit breaker is unable to respond fast enough to protect the transformer. In my case it never tripped, I only had smoke. Be careful to not exceed the current rating.
