Lucas break in oil 30w
Lucas 30w high zinc in mho is an exceptional break in oil. I did enough research to make it my 1st choice not only because it is half the price of Amsoil which is also exceptional, but the only high zinc I could find in strait 30w. I also added a bottle of Howards cam ZDDP. I used it for the initial break in @ 2500 RPM for 30 minutes and then changed oil to Royal Purple engine break in oil 10w30 and also added Howards Cams ZDDP for the next 500 miles. With the lousy cams and terrible lifters made today it is essential. I won't take any chances again after wiping out a cam and lifters that came in a cheap online engine kit. So far, I'm very happy with the engine and will use this break in procedure from now on.

Slick
Ran rebuilt engine on fram 5-30 for the first few minutes just to flush. Drained and filled with lucas and started up. I could tell a difference right away, much quieter top end. I felt like this oil was taking care of my investment.

Great break in oil.
I used this oil for my rebuilt 454 Big Block engine in a 420 Sea Ray boat and I’m very happy with the performance.

Absolutely the best oil out there for antique cars - period!
I have a '29 Packard and this will always be the only oil I will ever put in it now. Tappets got notably more quiet, oil pressure went up by 10 pounds at all rpm's, my car loves this stuff, and I love that the zinc is in there coating all my internals. Fantastic oil!

Not sure if it is good I drove on it for the first 500 miles
Seriously thick oil. Not sure if it is good I drove on it for the first 500 miles, in the winter, after a rebuild but nothing broke. Not sure if entirely neccessary
