This nailer is perfect for quarter round. The smaller 18 gauge nails make it less likely to split the wood. I’ve also noticed that this nailer doesn’t leave dimple marks. I’ve used mine to install base trim, quarter round, shiplap, and furniture making.

Q: Can this be used to nail the first row of 3/4” oak hardwood floor before using a floor nailer?

If you have a wooden subfloor, this will work for that.
