"Marx Girl" OMG - T.L.Swan has outdone herself again. This series "Stanton series" is in my top 5 series I have ever read. She has awesome story lines and can bring it all to life. She is such a talented author and "wow"can she write the best about hot sexy alpha men. Ladies get yourselves a picture of margaritas, you will need a pack of smokes for after all the hot dominant sex, extra panties, and get ready to sit up all night and read because you will not want to lay this book down unless you have to break to go and attack your man. But trust me you will be right back for more of Ben and his friends who will now make up a security/private investigator team that we will get to read about hopefully this year in their series called "Men of Marx" according to a message TL sent me last year expected release in 2018. Promise us TL you will not keep us wanting more for long!! I was so happy for Bridget and Ben to get their own happiness after we read about their heartbreak and forbidden love in the Stanton Series. This book did not disappoint. I felt their love for each other, their heartbreak of their past, the suspense in their story, I laughed at the spicy banter these two had going on between them, and my heart really broke at one point in this book but they did get the HEA they so deserved. If you have never read the "Stanton Series" you are missing out, however you can read this book as a standalone. Whatever you choose it is a must read....Cannot wait to read more about the "Men of Marx"!!!!!

I loved this story from start to finish. A few times I was shouting at Bridget to stop asking stupid questions when you are in danger and need to get a move on! Or when she caved too fast to give him another chance in the beginning. But she redeemed herself later in the book when she got some balls. I loved the special forces plot twist at the end and how both characters and other characters were involved. On to the next book in the series.

This was a really great book. I have followed the Stanton family from the beginning and this was a great addition/spin-off. Yes you can read it as a stand-alone BUT I highly suggest reading the previous books. Not because you need more information but because it will really help you love the characters that much more. This story is a second chance romance. In this book they get the chance to fix what went wrong 5 years earlier. Never getting over each other to begin with doesn’t help Bridget when Ben shows up demanding a second chance. So so good! Cue the drama of a jealous Army sex maniac! Bridget tries to protect herself by refusing him despite her heart feeling otherwise. There is so much more story to be told aside from them figuring out the ‘will they or won’t they’ you will be surprised at what is to come. The story felt very real, and grown up, a true romance. No bullshit, no frills, no nonsense. It was funny, dramatic and raw. The character development was great. I didn’t rush the read even though I wanted to. It was lovely and heartfelt. These two together have been on a journey with too many ‘what if’s’ to make you want to pull your hair out. Hot HOT sex scenes! Ben is a man you will want to climb on and stay on! Ben is dominate in the bedroom but Bridget is Bridget and she also takes what she wants too. It was a good balance. Thoroughly enjoyed reading these wicked parts! Overall a great book. Don’t have any complaints. This is just a really really good read!!

Loved the characters especially Ben and Bridget. They start out with a secret relationship and Bridget falls in love but Ben calls it off saying he's not who she thinks he is and walks out of her life. Bridget is devastated but continues on with her life and meets Eric a police officer 👮‍♂️ who's gorgeous, nice thoughtful man and he loves her but she is confused about her true feelings for him. 5 1/2 years later she's at a restaurant and sees Ben at the bar! She can't believe her eyes and her anger takes over but when she confronts him he's ripped and gorgeous and her heart and lady bits are aching. She tells him too leave and stay out of her life but Ben has other plans. Ben has been missing Bridget for 5 long years and now wants her back they had an electric static in bed! Eric her boyfriend finds out about her getting kissed by Ben and this get physical and fighting begins. Will Ben prove to her than he won't leave her again but he can't guarantee her that, Eric is a stable man who wants a future with her a sure bet for a good future. But Bridget is constantly confused 😐 about her true feelings about both of them? Steaming with rough sexual thoughts and a man who knows exactly what he wants and who he will make her scream his name!

Fabulous! A must read!

It was a Rollercoaster of emotions while reading this book. Their love so intense. Ben's duty towards his country. The last bit got me emotional when Bridget was informed about his death. All in all a beautiful read.

Another incredible, well written story by one of my favourite authors. I loved the Stanton series and had been anxiously awaiting Ben and Bridget’s story. Ms Swan did not disappoint with this book, which had me captivated from the very first page. I adore these two characters. Ben is a typical hot-blooded alpha male. He’s possessive and passionate but he is also damaged and doesn’t think he’s worthy of Bridget’s love. He broke her heart 5 years earlier but has now come back to claim his girl. Bridget is beautiful, sassy, strong willed and knows what she wants. She tried to move on with her life after Ben left her without any explanation as to why, but she never really got over him and her love for Ben never died. But she struggles to get him to open up to her. This book is full of angst, passion, suspense, and hot and steamy love scenes. It had me on a roller coaster of emotions. It had me swooning really bad for Ben, then feeling annoyed and frustrated with him at the same time. It had me on the edge of my seat and then crying sad but also happy tears. It was hard to put down and the ending was just perfect. Marx Girl is one of my favourite reads this year!

Bridget found the love of her life in Ben. Ben was her aphrodisiac and drug of choice. He was alpha, sexual and caused her to lose her breath with just a look. She also knew he had a heart of gold, even if Ben did not realize it himself. He was a man of few words and kept his secrets close to his chest. He was not a man that easily expressed his feelings. Bridget knew that Ben was the one and only for her. But he also yanked the rug from under her when he told her he had to leave and they could never be. He did tell her he loved her before he left, but he could not give an explanation as to why he needed to leave her. This left Bridget devastated. Ben made this agonizing decision to keep her safe from the lifestyle that he was honor bound to do. Fast forward 5 years. A mutual friend of both of them was getting married and they were both in attendance. They see each other for the first time, and the feelings are still alive for each other. A lot has changed with Ben and he is now on a mission to win Bridget back. Not an easy task as Bridget appears to have moved on with a new man in her life. Can Ben convince Bridget to take him back. I loved how T.L. Swan takes us on a rollercoaster ride with Ben and Bridget to find each other again. Their story made me feel all the emotions that they experience along the way, but it was so worth the ride to see Ben and Bridget get their HEA.

The story was interesting and I like it. Unfortunately, heroine was so drama queen and talked nonsense and behaved stupid. I could not stand her. Her reasoning was too childish and not logical. My moral compass did not allow to accept hero decision of leaving heroine and screwing available female population in the name of love to heroine even if it was mindless sex. 2 stars for story and alpha hero.
