This is a really cute set! It is perfect for my 6 year old, who really enjoys Hatchimals and water. She routinely takes her Hatchimals into the bath with her so I thought this would go over well, which it did. It was already assembled when I took it out of the box. The only set up is to break open the eggs, which is hard even for me by the way. If you’re new to Hatchimals then the eggs are hard to open even for adults let alone children like my daughter, who has fine and gross motor challenges. Anyway, there are 4 eggs to open and 4 characters without eggs. The fins change color as stated and there are little pegs for all the characters to stay put in the water so they don’t float up. It’s a fun play set for kids.

So, this was a super cool little toy. Lots of tiny little creatures, half of which were in eggs that had to be hatched. My 3.5 year old didn’t necessarily have the patience to hold the eggs long enough to get them to hatch, but she got a real kick out of hatching them after I got them ready for her. Each little creature has a hole in the bottom so they can sit on the notches made for them in the enclosure, and they do stay put when they’re properly situated. If you’re looking for a cute toy, hatchimals are the way to go. If you’re torn between these guys and littlest pet shop, hands down, this is a better option. Seriously, don’t do the littlest pet shop under any circumstances.

A dollar-store mermaid toy and this, and I've got a happy kid. She's dropped it on the bathroom floor a half-dozen times, taken baths with it, and generally played with it constantly and I am very surprised and happy to report there are STILL no cracks! The mermals have a very obvious color-change in warm water, a safe temperature for kids. They attach firmly to the base and stay in place when your kid once again brings the container full of water into the living room.... Our bathroom has never been so clean. Or so wet. Definitely a good gift choice! She thought the eggs themselves were so neat she kept one of the shells to play with, too.

We read the instructions carefully, but despite all the rubbing on those glittery hearts, it was quite difficult to change their colors. We found that it’s easiest to punch through without running the eggs. We were picking up little bits of eggs a few days after, but no worries. She asked if there was a way to keep the egg shells after. Nope. Gotta throw them away because they’re in tiny pieces. But overall, I think this was core-memory worthy of an experience for her. She loves playing with them in the aquarium. My niece is 5, almost 6, and she takes them to bath time. The hot water changes their tail colors. Overall, it was a big hit of a present!

We got 2 of these for our daughters as a gift/toy to play with in the hotel during a trip. My oldest kept seeing commercials for the “mermals” and had been asking for them. They came quickly. The aquarium container is cute and holds water well and all the the hatchimals changed color. For some reason I expected the hatchimals to be random animals, like they are in the egg crates. You get the exact ones above. It’s no big deal, it probably was best for my kids to have the exact same ones, so there was no fighting. I guess I get excited to see what comes out of the egg too... :D

These are so cute and fun! My daughter received these for her 7th birthday and loved them! The mermaids change color with the water temp and the pillars have pegs to stick the mermaids to so they don't all just float up. Would definitely recommend and gift to any young girl or boy who loves hatchimals!

My daughter loves playing with this. To fill it up with water I just leave the whole thing together, but you can take it apart if you want. If you’re leaving it together just know that it takes the water a little time to go beneath the stand so you’ll have to add more water. The stand has a little “peg” in each of the spots where the Hatchimals go. The Hatchimals all have little holes in them to attach them to the stand My daughter enjoys watching the tails change color when she’s playing with it Because mold is always an issue with water toys I just make sure to take it apart when she’s done playing with it so it can dry out Really cute Hatchimals playset and happy with the purchase

The box says 8 Hatachimals which I expected 8 eggs. To my dismay, it was 4 eggs and 4 already hatched plastic bits. I checked the instructions sheets which says: Contents: 1 playset, 8 Hatchimals collEGGtibles and 1 instruction sheet. I thought i was given a faulty set till I checked the reviews on amazon US and realised we have been cheated. This sets comes with 4 hatched animals and 4 unhatched in the eggs.

Highly recommended. Was smaller than expected & I was expecting it to be small haha. But u can take it apart so makes the tank a bit bigger if u take out the part they sit on. 8 exclusive hatchimals & they are adorable. 4 to hatch & 4 out of the egg. This is a good value for money set. I was super pleased as was my daughter..A++++

Das Aquarium ist kleiner als ich erwartet habe. Dafür finde ich es etwas zu teuer. Es ist einfach eine kleine Wanne die weiter keine Funktionen kann.
