Does not always send the green transmitter signal to let you know it started. Best Buy installer told me this would happen.

I had this remote start bought and installed at a dealership (and they charged me $499...) so I can't vouch for ease of install. However, what I can tell you is this sucker will start the car. I work in a concrete building and my car is about 1,000 feet away and it starts no problem. However, that is the only pro. Maybe the dealership installed it wrong, but I can no longer use my original FOB to lock or unlock my car and my proximity features no longer work (unlocking the car by touching the handle). I cannot get the unlock to work on the remote start unless I'm within a close distance. So when I'm starting the car at home, it won't let me remote start it and unlock the car from my house. Once I get into the car after using the remote start, I have to turn the car off and back on again in order to drive. This can't be how this was designed to work. Pros: Remote start works great Cons: - can't use proximity unlocks - unlock doesn't work from a distance - can't use original fob - Have to turn the car off and back on again in order to drive

Perfect replacement for my original remote! Easy to program. I’ve had it over a month now and no problems. If you need a replacement look no further.
