excellent product for exterior doors. easy to install. some reviews mentioned the quality of the screws, but i did not have any issue with them. one has to drill a large enough hole so as to not put additional pressure on the screw head. i think the instructions say 1/16, but that is way too small. the second thing is to use the correct 'size' phillips head screwdriver. once i drilled a larger than 1/16 hole and used the correct size phillips head screwdriver (where the screwdriver head fits tightly into the screw) things went smoothly and i did not damage the screw head. easy to use. it is inexpensive. looks very strong and is a great addition to use of existing door locks. said another way, this is to be used as extra protection for an exterior door, not the only protection. I am going to use two per door - one a foot or two 'above' the existing door locks and then a second one a foot or two 'below' the existing door locks. in addition to use for exterior doors these could also be used for an interior door (like a 'safe room'), should such a capability be desirable. recommended. it appears that several sellers on amazon and elsewhere sell the same exact item rebrand it as their own, but they all look to be the same product.

Easy to install and provides an extra layer of security

I have a 3-year-old grandchild who loves to go outside. She is now tall enough to open the front door. Oh, and she will. There are times when no one is in the living room area. So, just to be safe, we decided to purchase an extra lock for all existing doors. These locks work perfectly!!

This product is great! Coming from the chain and lock era it was refreshing to see something so sleek be so strong. The installation is really quite easy, 3 screws. That’s it. To top it all off it’s quite easy to open and close yet offers solid door security. This is well worth the few bucks Good to go😎

Appears to be solid build. Super easy to install and comes with easy to read basic instructions if they are needed. Instructions also indicate using 1/8” drill bit to prevent cracking the wood, very important! Packaging is small and simple, and has made in China labeling. Comes with 4 shorter screws and 4 longer screws per lock. These are freshly installed so I can’t rate durability yet but I am confident they will prevent my toddler from opening exterior doors. My only constructive criticism would be to add knurling on top and bottom edges for easier grip. It’s a very smooth aluminum and would be slippery with gloves or wet hands and near impossible to open with optioned up fingers.

I had family stay with us recently. One of them tried to get in while the locks were engaged. The door DID NOT MOVE at all. I have two of these on each external door (one towards the top and one toward the bottom). Combined with the deadbolt already on the door, the doors are all solid. It should also be noted that I have 3.5" screws into the door frames on all the hinges and into the door side. Granted, if someone wants to get in, it will happen with enough force; however, these locks provide a solid locking mechanism and enough time for the person inside to hear the commotion and call police and prepare themselves in other ways.

I don't know why I had these in my cart for so long. My front door needed a make over. It never sealed fully and lacked in the "piece of mind category." After some new weather stripping and installing these, not only is my door 1000x more secure, but they also seal it closed tight. I purchased the 2 pack and have one towards the top of the door and one at the bottom. They were very easy to install and they are very easy to operate. I will be purchasing more in the near future.

This summer in Florida was the hottest summer I've ever experienced. So, to help reduce our energy bill, we would leave the garage door open about 2-feet, open the access panel to the attic and run a fan in the garage to direct airflow up into the attic. The door from the garage leading into the house is wood and has no deadbolt installed. These Door Security Locks were the perfect solution, since I plan to replace the wood door with a metal one with added insulation and the means to install a deadbolt, if I choose. 5-Star
