Cambridge Audio G2 Portable NFC Bluetooth Speaker, Champagne Gold

This little speaker is fantastic. I am glad I followed my intuition and decided to purchase a speaker from a company such as Cambridge Audio who is well known for their hi fidelity audio systems. Of course, I was not disappointed when I listened to my music with this speaker, the sound is, as many have said, well balanced. There are few reviews that state that this product does not deliver enough bass, well, I think it is because they are used to listen to music through boom boxes at high volumes and this speaker is far from that. This speaker is meant to be near you, at medium volumes and to listen as background music. It would be naive to seat in front of this speaker to listen carefully a complex jazz piece or symphony, you need to invest much more money if you want to do that. This speaker delivers all the different tones of the musical spectrum within a controlled range, there is low tones, medium tones and high tones, as it should be.In addition to deliver great sound, this speaker is so little that it fits everywhere, it includes a carry pouch and battery lasts for 10 hours. I am amazed on how far technology has gone, this small speaker competes in sound and fidelity with my apple speaker that I bought few years ago which is 5 times bigger and uses 6 D batteries that do not last more than 3 hours.Does this sound like my two thousand dollar hi-fi audio system? Of course not, I would be also naive if I was expecting that. Few nights ago, when I was testing the speaker my wife walked into the room that I use as office and she said 'wow! is the music coming from the new little speaker you bought? It sounds great!' and she concluded 'you always get very good speakers!" So, it was not me, it was my wife who said it and yes, I'm guilty of having about 5 audio systems around the house and she did not complaint because I got another one. In fact, I am thinking seriously to buy another one of this little G2 speakers and pair it with the one I got, this would be twice as good then.I would definitely recommend this product.

I was looking for a portable bluetooth speaker that I can chug into my cabin luggage and my choice came down too Bose SoundLink Mini Bluetooth Speaker II (Carbon) or Cambridge G2.I thought the G2 is quite a steal. Nice features, except without the Bose price tag. After listening to it, I'd rather spend the extra $100. Worse, I live in Indonesia, and I had to get my girlfriend to bring this speaker back with her while she was holidaying in the USA. No chance of a refund.

The speaker did not meet my expectations with regard to sound quality. It seems muffled. Just by chance, I was able to compare it with my friend's small Bose bluetooth speaker. His sounded far superior with deeper and well projected lows and clean highs.

It was a gift for my father; he uses it and loves it His standars are not so high, but compared to my Bose its pretty good for the price paid (half of what I paid for my Bose MiniLink) I recommend 100%

Great product

I purchased this about 4 months ago, and it worked well until last week. The sound lacked bass and was NOT in stereo. Still, I liked the portability of the unit and its ability to charge my phone. Well, last week it tanked. Even after charging for 12+ hours, it doesn't power on once I unplug it. Plus, it no longer pairs with my bluetooth devices. Since it is out of warranty, I will likely just use the AUX IN with a patch cord and keep the unit plugged into an outlet when I use it...so much for portability! Save your money and buy the Bose model. It has MUCH better sound and is likely more reliable.

Bought my fiancée this for Xmas. I opened it to check it all works etc and I must say the quality of it is fantastic. Very sturdy and a decent size. For the size of it the power is brilliant. I like my rock music so I whacked it on dull blast with no distortion and everything was clear. For £100 it's an absolute steal. I'm jealous now and want one myself. She wanted a beats pill but apparently they're not that great. Hopefully she won't be disappointed with this.

Sound quality no where near as good as Cambridge Audio Minx Go speaker, wish I would have bought another one of those :-(Maybe I have got a duff one, but the bass is really lacking in this G2 model. Do yourself a favour, spend an extra 20 quid and buy the Minx Go

I think I was expecting better audio quality and volume from the G2. It sounds okay and streams from my iPhone without any issues. Have subsequently bought a UE Roll 2 which I think is better quality and value than the G2.

While the speaker was excellent while it was actually working it stopped taking battery charge and as the battery cannot be serviced the unit is now useless. This is less than 18 months after the initial purchase and with very light use.
