I decided I wanted a wooden chopping board to replace all my plastic ones. I didn't really know what to look for, so I just picked this one up because... well firstly, I'm an absolute sucker for pretty things, and this chopping board is absolutely gorgeous. Since buying, I have learnt a bit more about chopping boards. Acacia seems to be an ideal material as it is close grained (what you need in order to prevent stains) and has a solidity similar to that of maple, but without the hefty price tag. I was pleased to see that this chopping board seems to have been treated and waxed and is perfectly smooth and ready to go. It did have a few rough edges, but for the price I can disregard that. A simple sand and polish was all it took to get rid of any splinters. If I was to pick a downside, it would be that it is quite hard and so is a little tough on the knife and the wrist, but other than that I'm very pleased. Makes an excellent carving board.

The board looks quite good and classy. It is strong as well. Most important thing for me was its made from Organic wood and that's one of the main reason I ordered this, because of the price it's a value buy compared to other organic options. Board is hard enough and withstands sharp knife , no marks so far. So I am expecting it to last for a longer duration. Cleaning is super easy, I just run it below tap and it's all clean in a few seconds later wipe it off with cloth, to preserve the wood. I think it's a value buy.

So, this is a great board and does what it's supposed to do and I get what some people in other reviews mean when they don't understand why people would complain about the cuts on the board after you use, given the job its made for, but I can kind of see their point. It doesn't take much to get really obvious cuts in the wood, we've had ours for less than a week and it already looks like this. I don't know if it's the colour or type of wood used but it's looking pretty beat up already. I'm sure it'll be fine and it's not as if it's about to fall apart or anything, I'm just surprised that many showed up so quickly. It does what it's meant to and the grooves in the edge do help catch breadcrumbs a bit so it's fine. I only got it for bread because we have plastic boards but it just seemed like a good idea to have a separate 1 for bread. It's easy to wipe down too, unlike the plastic ones (they have a few dents in them from knives and can be a pain to get all the crumbs off if I can't be bothered to wash them up properly) and I'm happy with it. I'd give 4 1/2* if I could just because of the state it's already in but, it works and having the plastic feet and handle type things on the side mean you aren't fighting to lift it off the counter without throwing bread everywhere. I'd recommend it but, if you like how it looks then probably best you don't use it or just have it as a cheese board or something that you don't need to cut anything.

It's really nice. Lots of people on here are bashing this saying it leaves knife marks. I've been using it for a week now and it's fine. The first thing I did was wipe it down with a damp cloth, then let it dry, then oil it with olive oil (top, bottom and sides) and rubbed it in with kitchen towel. I left it for ten minutes then wiped off the excess olive oil. So if you follow the instructions, and oil it, it seems to be fine. It says to regularly oil it. So maybe do that. Works for me. UPDATE: Two months later. Second photo added. It's been used multiple times a day now for over two months. I've oiled it once a month and this only has minor scratches. The people showing massive scratches must never have oiled theirs. Would buy again if I needed to but it's developing a lovely patina through usage.

I was expecting for this price just a normal average quality chopping board. But I’m very surprised. Chopping board looking very good and quality is great. It’s big, very stable, easy to clean and it’s lightweight. Cant see any marks from knife, so looks like new after every day use. Can be used not only like chopping board, but also looks good as cheese platter. Definitely buying again and would recommend to my friends. Worth the money

Not as solid as my previous chopping board also the four rubber feet on the bottom a really hard so making the board slip over the kitchen top surface , I might have to replace them with a softer type to prevent this also it is very light ,not all bad though it looks really nice !

If you want a really superb quality wooden board with beautiful grain, this is for you. The label states this is Acacia wood, and mine is well matched across the entire board. Each side has a cut-out for carrying and there are four good quality rubber feet on the underside. The instructions on the label clearly direct the owner to wipe it clean with a damp cloth or soapy water and to regularly oil the board with any edible oil. This is a good idea and will protect it from damage.

Best chopping board I've ever bought. Look's lovely in my kitchen. It's not too heavy. It has 4 big rubber feet on the bottom to stop it slipping. These feet are screwed into the wood so it is very sturdy. Lovely colour's in the wood. I used a light coating of virgin olive oil it's made it look lovely and shiny. If anybody is looking for a new chopping board I would highly recommend this.

Color muy bonito. Madera resistente. Tiene un reborde para recoger las migas y los líquidos que puedan generarse al cortar. En la base tiene 4 puntos de silicona para evitar que la tabla se desplace al cortar. Hay que tener cuidado con ellos cuando se lava, para evitar despegarlos. Muy contenta con la compra.

La tabla no es como me imaginé pensé que sería una madera más madera. Es buena para cortar, yo la uso a diario, pero no es la tabla de cortar perfecta ni soñada. Los hendidura pensé que sería útil pero no lo es, es incomoda a la hora de coger los alimentos cortados y a la hora de limpiarla. Tiene una union de las maderas bastante visible aunque no es problema. Y está un pelín coja, pues tiene unas patitas que si son útiles para que no se quede humedad debajo o se peguen restos de alimentos, pero esa diferencia de nivel o cojera no afecta a su uso.
