Great Winch for the Money.
Great winch for the money. Works as advertised, no parts missing. Got this on sale and then bought product insurance for a fail safe investment. So far so good! Rough Country makes great products at reasonable prices.

Great Option
I was shopping for a winch for my Wrangler. I narrowed it down between this one and a different brand that was 9500lb. They were the same price so I went with this model because it's 12,000lbs. I have other Rough Country products and have never been disappointed. This is a quality winch. Install was easy and it's more than powerful enough for my needs. There are other models out there that cost a ton more but this was the perfect balance between cost and efficiency for me. Only negative is it doesn't come with a wireless remote. Not a huge deal for me as I've been just fine without one over the years. In many applications, you're better off removing the bumper and installing this on the bumper and reinstalling them as a unit. I recommended this winch 100%

Installation only took a couple minutes. Great build quality, definitely overkill for my Jeep but couldn't beat the price.

Love it. It's a work horse. I installed it on my gladiator. I have used it tons.

Connect wires first
I haven’t needed to use it, which is a good thing, but installation was pretty straightforward. Would have been 5 stars, but the instructions were not very clear about connecting the wires to the winch. Make all connections prior to securing it because the one is on the bottom and impossible to connect unless your Gumby. Will follow after having to use.

Great value for this unit. The remote is a wired only, but has a nice sturdy handle and larger button. The installation was easy. the first initial use was on a loaded one ton flatbed pick up. the winch worked great.
