They seem last a long time although I put fresh cables on every year, no point in taking a chance. Haven't had an issue with how they are manufactured.

Cables were barely long enough and I had to cut the rear derailleur housing shorter on one bike to get enough cable sticking out to hook it up.

I'm not usually one to leave bad reviews, but this product has truly earned it. I bought these "stainless steel" shifter cables hoping to give my trusty bike a little tune-up. Instead, I gave it a complete breakdown. The first cable snapped before I could even get it properly threaded. I figured, "Okay, maybe it was just a fluke." So, I grabbed another. That one kinked so badly it looked like a metal pretzel. I've now gone through seven of the ten cables, and my bike is in worse shape than when I started. The gears are permanently stuck in the "hill climb" position, which is great for my calves, but terrible for my morale. I'm now forced to ride my bike in a single gear, essentially turning my expensive mountain bike into a one-speed. My friends now call me "The Unicyclist," even though I have two wheels. Save yourself the trouble, the frustration, and the shame of being known as "The Unicyclist." Spend a few extra bucks on a quality cable. This product isn't worth the metal it's not even made of.

Only used one quite a while ago,sold quality cable from memory to replace flimsy cheap one.

The lever end nipple of these cables are rough/unfinished which increases the likelihood/risk of it becoming jammed in the lever
