This was the correct part for my Fire7.
Recieved in good shape and correct replacement part for my Fire7. I like that the Fire7 USB port uses tabs held by two screws, making it more robust, though I still managed to destroy one. But being able to get a replacement part of good quality is awesome. Only con I have is that I needed to cut off the rear shield part that has 2 tabs to solder into MB because it blocks access to solder the data line legs. But it did fix my USB port.

Part requires modification for hand soldering
Identical to original part in Kindle fire 7, 7th generation, model SR043KL. However, it is impossible to hand solder this part in place unless you remove the back portion of the metal case IMHO. This is easily done by snapping the back plate off with with needle nose pliers but doing so leaves you with only two of the four through hole solder tabs that keep the part attached to the pc board. So far my repair is working. I can only hope the 60/40 solder I used will hold up a lot better than the original which I am guessing was lead free.

Perfect transaction. New and clean part.
Amazon fire tablet 7 HD (7th Gen) perfect fit. Micro usb charge/data connector. Used iron to solder four socket joints and hot air for the surface connections. It really pays to invest in a solder and hot air station if your going to be attempting this type of repair. Practice on a junk board or buy a dummy surface mount board.

My niece broke her amazon fire tablet charge port with the regular use throutout the years. Bought this replacement part, took to a repair shop and they fix it with microwelding the tablet revived!.
