No, it's not a problem. My husband is the asalto player. The cork ones are not his favorite, but they do have a nice sound.

These are not fully silent, however they are not as loud as traditional asalato designs. They are substantially more quiet and do not have a piercing crack or snap sound that tends to travel through rooms as traditional asalato do. They are intended for practice use. The beads inside have a slightly higher timbre than I expected, and that is where most of the sound comes from over the clacking together of the cork shells. I recommend this product as a practice alternative. Perhaps if you could shut yourself in a room or be on another floor of the house, etc then these would be a good "silent" pair of asalato.
