SiriusXM Onyx EZR Satellite Radio Receiver Standalone (Tuner Only)

My old tuner finally died and this replacement is a nice upgrade. Plus the price was good. It is very user friendly. I currently use it in a Sirius XM boombox.

Great product and service

This is a durable radio, I've had this one for over a year, absolutely no problems!

It stopped working. I had also bought a Sirrus boom box. I put batteries in but it is not working with being plugged in or not. It did work when I first bought (used twice) but I hadn’t used for a few weeks. Now it won’t turn on Update: I am changing my review. I figured it out. I have to turn on using the remote. Then it works fine. It just does not turn on by either on-off switch on the receiver or box. .

I put it in the radio, called Sirius to activate it. They tried 3 times & told me it was the transmitter. So , have to return & order another one.

Unlike an Onyx Plus radio that died after less than a year, the Onyx EZR lives up to its "EZ" label. It was simple to install and, more important, is MUCH more straightforward to use than the Onyx Plus. The black-and-white display with larger font is also far easier to read than the Onyx Plus' color screen with its teeny type. Even a SiriusXM tech recommended the Onyx EZR over their other radios -- and it was less expensive!

It's a good entry level unit.. The audio is pretty darn good and the receiver operates as it should without issues.. The only thing I wish it had that all my old units had is a clock.. Definitely worth the money

Bought an install kit first with other plans of just swapping the head unit, changed my mind and was very pleased with finding this individually without the Install kit.

The information on Amazon did not include the fact that this is for automobile use only. it did not work with my boom box. It has now been returned and we are looking at other options ... probably in a store where we can ask questions.
