I purchased one of these and returned it because I couldn't get it to turn on. Amazon sent me a replacement, and I had the same problem with the second item. I wondered if it was user-error, so I came on here to submit a question on how to operate it. Others said that this light has a light sensor and works best in a dark area. Sure enough, I brought it into a bathroom with no windows, turned off the lights, waved my hand in front of this light, and it instantly turned on. It is BRIGHT. When I tested it in a room with a window in the late afternoon on an overcast day, the light would not turn on, because the sun let in enough light for it not to trigger the light sensor. I feel badly having returned the first one. It probably worked just fine, but I didn't test it in the correct environment. (Sorry, amazon.) This should work perfectly in the shower area of our bathroom, which is very poorly lit.

I ha e o e of these i. A half bath over the toilet and another in my downstairs hallway . Both places needed a little more light and these work perfectly. Not super bright, but bright enough to do the job of adding extra light so you don't have fumble for a switch.

Motion detection only works occasionally. I’ve tried waving my hand in front and doing dance.... lol nothing seems to turn this thing on until I’m walking away then it decides to turn on for 10 seconds. I walk back over by it to do what I was intending in the first place and it shuts off again. Frustrating, otherwise the light shines bright when it does come on.Updated 3/27/20: upgraded review from 2 stars to 4. Found the issue with the motion detection wasn’t really with the motion detection at all. The problem was that the rest of my bathroom was too bright so the automatic on/off for day/night time thought it was daytime all the time and would not turn on the light even with motion. Moved the light out of the shower stall and found it does work when the room is actually totally dark. So the light doesn’t really work like what I was looking for. But, it does work like it’s supposed to.

Great light for our pantry. It takes a second or less to react to motion and is consistent. The brightness is great for our pantry (just using the one light in a medium sized pantry). I opted not to screw it in but used adhesive tape instead and was super easy to set up. I would recommend for a small space like a closet, pantry or as a replacement for a night light.

I love the temperature of the light, the brightness, the size—it's pretty great. Only thing is that it doesn't always work. It's installed in a shower, and it'll flip on when I sit on the toilet, brush my teeth, open a cabinet, or do anything else in the bathroom—except shower. To be fair, it does decide to pop on now and again, you know, when it feels like it. I understand. I'm kind of a rebel myself. I would hate it if people expected to just walk up to me and I'd suddenly illuminate their path. I get it, light. But, man, sometimes I don't wanna shower in the dark. Conversely, sometimes I DO want to sh*t in the dark. So it's tough to reconcile with our relationship, light. Like I said, I get it, I respect where you're coming from, but I'm a little concerned about where our relationship is headed. Maybe you'll be on Amazon (probably using my account to buy stuff) and you'll stumble upon this review and it'll flip a switch in you that changes things. I sure hope so, light. I was really really hoping to like this product, but...Motion sensor does not work unless I actually touch it, & that doesn’t guarantee that it will turn on either. When it did turn on (a couple of times by touch) it did produce a nice bright light. I like that the motion sensor is located to the side. I was hoping that meant it wouldn’t be too sensitive (like the one I was replacing). I had it on the ceiling of a small dark hallway. I’m glad I used double sided tape because now I need to take it down & return it.Looking at the dates of some of the reviews (which are recent), I think I may have received someone’s return item which they complained of the same issue. Debating on ordering another one just in case this first one was a dud.

This just arrived the other day but we just love it! We installed it over the door in our mudroom which has no windows. It is SO convenient to have the light go on as soon as I enter the room. Often I'm carrying a laundry basket and it's awkward to get to the light switch. We would say it's a winner!!!!!!!!

Bought two of these lights for a dark hallway and foyer. Lights look very nice and put out a very good amount of light for their size. One light comes on after any motion detected regardless of the amount of ambient light. The other light comes on as it should; when motion is detected in a low light or no light situation. Would absolutely be 5 stars if the one light worked as its designed to. ***UPDATE: I received a replacement immediately and I returned the non-working light. The second light works as good as the first one I kept. Very pleased. Great customer service.

I cannot install to a tile.The sensor is not working properly.

This is a great light. I have installed it under my porch canopy, so it is outside but protected from the weather. I would say that it needs to be screw fixed due to the weight once the batteries are installed. I made sure that the motion sensor was where I wanted it, as I didn't want the light coming on every time someone walked past the house. Absolutely prefect and works a treat. I'm hoping that the batteries will have plenty of life in them as the light goes off after 30 secs. I would definitely recommend this product.

These lights are really very good, we have one in the outside porch at the front door and it is great when we are leaving or entering after dark, very bright and the motion sense is perfect. Highly recommend these lights.

We’ve put one of these under our stair cupboard and one in the shed, really good, does the job perfectly! Alls good!

Not sure how people have reported inconsistant sensor? I have the light fixed to the wall under my stairs and works everytime i open the door without fail!Just interested to see how long the battery lasts but i have only thrown cheap ones in it (comes on on average twice a day, been in 1 - 2 months?) .So far so good! :-)
