Grandpa: His Stories. His Words. Hardcover – September 1, 2011

Book came in new condition. The questions were also fun/thought provoking to answer for a current or to-be-grandfather. Was a nice smaller gift for Father's day (or expecting grandfather).

I also have "My Grandma: Her Stories" which is just as well-written. The questions are simple to answer, yet thought provoking. I am "Grandma" and received that book as a Mother's Day gift last year. My husband and I will complete these memory books for each of our grandchildren.

The questions are good, and just different enough from the "Grandma" book that there will be a bit of difference when we finally get the books back. It is a bit on the small side in terms of size, but I find that it makes the questions less daunting to answer, because you don't have to write a huge amount to fill out the space.

I bought this for my children to give to them after they grow up. The words are small as is the book, however I loved it just because of that! I ended up asking my father these questions and writing them out myself, so he wouldn't have to strain to look at it, and I learned of new stories that I would have possibly never heard had it not been for this book.It isn't just a book to give to my children, it is also a sweet and fond memory that I can always think of as we were sitting on the back porch and I was jotting down the stories he was telling (and elaborating on although I didn't write it all down.) Purchase this because people may not always be around, but memories will be and you can help preserve them with this book!!

I got this as a Christmas present for my Dad who is about to become a grandpa for the first time. He isn't usually very talkative, but I know he's got a wealth of stories I'd love for my kiddos to learn about. The prompts in this book are surprising, unique and will draw out quite a bit of whimsical fun. I'm so excited to see what he shares with them and watch them discover it once they're older.

Bought as a gift for my father-in-law, and he loved it, except for how small the book and space to write in it is it's a fantastic way for my son to learn more about his Grandfather. Since the space given wasn't enough for my father-in-law, he's using the questions in the book, but typing out his answers into a document we can print out and have made into a book.

Grandpa was very surprised with this gift and he really liked it! Great heirloom to pass on.
