Worth it
With the new law in Scotland regarding smoke/heat/co2 alarms I needed to buy 5 alarms in total. Just bought a new house and didn't want big holes in my ceilings so I bought these as an alternative and they work great. The adhesive is strong as is the magnets and they have kept my alarms attached.

Very useful, not just for smoke alarms.
Great for hanging lots of things, strong magnets and very sticky for fixing to walls or whatever. Also used them for fixing stuff like blue tooth speaker in my boat. Have also used the rectangular ones for holding sliding doors in my caravan. Great invention.

Stick up/magnetic fastenings
Real easy to stick up in ceilings, powerful magnets keep the two halves together, only drawback is they turn or spin too easily, a simple peg in a hole would prevent that, so you can’t screw a fire alarm into its base, you have to pull/slide the whole assembly off the ceiling then separate it from its base
