The best keyboard I've ever owned. I like it so much, I bought one for home and work!
I type for a living... that's what I do daily for hours and hours. Before I got the BlackWidow Elite (Orange Switches), I never looked forward to using the keyboard -- That all changed once this bad boy arrived. It's by far the best computer keyboard I've ever owned. Based on the quality of this thing, the BlackWidow Elite will probably be the last keyboard I'll ever buy.Pro:Look and feel -- The keyboard looks great, has a "weight" which speaks to its quality and of course, the ability to customize its lighting easily via Razer Synapse is nice. It also comes with a foam "pleather" wrist pad which feels very nice during my long typing sessions. It's connected to the keyboard via a magnet which is a nice touch.Performance -- Typing on the keyboard is a true joy. I don't like messing around with batteries and Bluetooth for my keyboard and mouse as there are just too many things that can go wrong at the wrong time. So, being plugged in directly to my computer, this thing is a workhorse. The mechanical keys pop and sound great. The Orange Switches are It's flawless. It just works "perfectly".Mechanical Keys -- I went with the Orange Switches which are advertised as "Tactile and Silent". Previously I've had the Green Switches and.... they were just a bit too noisy to use in an office setting. I'm glad I made the choice. the Orange Keys are a perfect balance of performance, pop, and sound. Not silent, however, they are not overly loud either.Features -- There are many features and special keys on the keyboard however the one I use the most "by far" is the volume control, mute bottom, and media controls (Pause Music, next, back). It's in the perfect spot and allows me to easily adjust my volume. Love, love, love it!Cons:1 - The price (it's spendy)2 - Single USB port on the Keyboard. It would be nice if it has a 2nd USB port I could use. It's a simple solution to solve with a small USB hub but, as a minimalist, a few ports would avoid more clutter on my desk.3 - Must be connected to a computer using two USB ports.*Update 12/11/2020*Still going strong with this keyboard. After countless hours of use, it still looks and works as good as the day I bought it. Highly recommended, 5+ stars!

What I always wanted in a mechanical keyboard
The title basically sums it up. This is not my first razer product nor my first razer keyboard/keypad This is my 4th. I bought this one to replace my 5 year old black widow croma (green switch) after it started having issues with the E, O and space key. That and the loud clicking became to much to handle as my seating changed. Sitting net to a wall and hearing the loud clicking sounds starting to eat away at my brain. Now here I am with the Black widow Elite (orange switch) and this is the typing experience I have always wanted in a keyboard not just mechanical. Starting off with the sound the orange switchs are quite but not silent there is still the sound of the keyboard or them bottoming out but the sound is not loud what so ever more like the sound of a normal keyboard. The next major this is the feel of the keys as you type. I have to say for me its like well I cant describe the feeling like almost pressing on a soft pillow in water....there is a light resistance but it feels almost natural. The build quality on this is really nice as well far better then what it was on the old Croma I had. The keys feel more sturdy and the keyboard is heavy enough that it wont move unintendedly. The little raising foot pads also come in 2 different levels to help you pick the perfect size for you to use with honestly not much of a noticeable difference to me. The included wrist rest seemed like something I wasn't going to use but im glad I put it on as it is much nicer then my wrist hanging or placed on my cold desk. The size of the keyboard is what really got me. It is enough that sitting on my desk I noticed I had about another inch or so of space to move my mouse around without it slamming into the keyboard as I had grown accustom to. Especially when you consider there is dedicated media controls and a built in USB port on the left side something I never new I wanted. But this does lead to a slight issue. Due to the inclusion of a usb port and headphone jack the cable is far larger then I expected and forced me to have to push the cord to the left as it would not work the way I normaly place it. However this has lead to an issue with the cable management as with all razer ones I have had it sucks. The cable just wont stay in the slot for more then a second and forget it if you have the legs up it just slips out like it wasn't even put in there. All and all the little things don't take away from the greater expectance of typing on this keyboard. I have fallen in love with the feel, sound, and responsiveness of the orange switchs and I will be sticking to these in the future as I think about changing my other keyboards to these amazing switchs. Definitely glad I pick this up.

Fantastic keyboard, but the small wrist rest and the awkward typing angle may be a deal-breaker.
This is a fantastic, well-built keyboard. I know Razer usually gets a bad rap on Reddit and in the gaming community for selling overpriced junk, but this keyboard is a joy to type on and its a steal if you can find it for $84.99. The The solid aluminum top-plate just gives it a nice, sleek aesthetic. The lighting is also subdued, minimalistic, and classy. This is not the keyboard for you if you want to turn your keyboard into a disco ball. The introduction of passthrough ports is a nice touch, but as some reviewers noted, it would have been better off being placed on the right side of the keyboard rather than the left. The volume button is kind of a gimmick as well as it changes the volume way too rapidly, which is a common complaint. I personally could have done without it. Ironically, the only fault I found with this keyboard is ergonomics. My first Razer keyboard was the Cynosa Chroma, and I find that keyboard to be superior in terms of comfort. While the wrist rest wasn't anywhere near as plush as the one offered by the Black Widow Elite, it was much larger and the angle was more natural. The typing angle that you are forced to use with the Black Widow Elite felt awkward and uncomfortable. My fingers were fatigued after an hour of gaming. On a side note, I did find the spacebar to be a bit mushy in comparison to all the other keys which felt very tactile and satisfying to press. Still, I'd recommend giving this keyboard a shot. You may not have the same issue as I did.
