Professional Soft Body Acrylic Paint, 12 x 22ml (0.74-oz), Essentials Set

While I usually love liquitex and have NEVER had issues with their paints the first set of 6 was terrible! the paints were dried out and unusable. The other 3 were less than half full. HOWEVER, I returned for replacement and all the paints were perfect and performed amazingly. My new favorite next to golden fluid. Of note, these bottles do not come filled to the brim. Most professional brands don’t. That said, they are highly pigmented. So you do get what you pay for. If you want filled bottles that will not go half the distance in pigment or opaqueness you might as well just buy craft paint. In the long run you WILL end up paying more. But if you want QUALITY paints with great coverage these are a must! Though I’m new to painting I will NEVER buy craft paint again. Worth the money for better quality and performance. Highly recommend.

Great paint for easy blending!

Wish I had more wow amazing , my art price look more smooth . They stay wet for a really god time . And the quality it so creamy and it’s supper opec . It’s not thick but it’s a good soft feeling . Definitely wish I had more colors . There supper easy to use I. A sketch book I prefer using them on my bigger pieces

The Liquitex paints are always a good bet and these are perfect for Gel Printing. BUT....one of the bottles is completely dry. I have contacted Liquitex and hope to receive a replacement bottle. I still gave these a 5 star rating because the set, overall, is excellent. I'm bummed to not have the red though. Add information: I contacted Liquitex and within 24 hours I had a reply from them and have a new jar of paint on the way. Best customer service I have experienced in years!

For the people leaving bad reviews, I don't think they understand the quality of good paint and the prices. This paint I find comparable to Golden Fluids which can average about $9-12 a 2oz bottle. This Liquitex paint is high in pigment, not "Basic" and .74 oz times 12 bottles in different colors. I love these and this size is great for paper and small canvas. I think the people who are leaving 1 star reviews have no idea what they are talking about and have no concept of how much good acrylics run. To think they were going to get an 8oz bottle of each of the 12 colors is absolutely absurd and hysterical. Love the quality of these paints and love the price!

I've used heavy body acrylics in the past, and this was my first time trying soft body so I opted for a set. They are nicely pigmented while still being somewhat translucent (as is normal for acrylic paint, sheerness varies with the individual color). I haven't done a direct comparison, but they do seem to be a bit easier and more even than heavy body when applying in a diluted "glazing" kind of way. As others have mentioned, there is not a lot of paint per color, but it's a reasonable intro set if you're just trying the brand/soft body, and pretty standard price point for a set of 12 (assuming you want decent quality paint). My main disappointment is with the bottle design. They're not bad to hold, but it's easy to accidentally unscrew a little when popping the top off, and if it happens enough, paint will come out from the side/between the cap and body and make a mess when you squeeze. It's not SO easy to do that it will happen all the time—but it is easy enough that you'll want to be careful. Secondly, even if you put the cap back on immediately every time, the inside of the cap doesn't have the little nub that typically inserts into the nozzle, so it's easy for the nozzle to get plugged up with dried paint that you need to clean out next time. Neither of these issues are dealbreakers, but seem like big oversights and do make it less pleasant to use.

This was a great way to try out these paints! I love them and I especially love the tops, it makes them very easy to use!

I've been using this paint for years because it's the only acrylic that I've found that holds it's shape when I'm creating texture and wanting brush strokes. Smooth, easy to apply and blend. I layer and blend directly on paper or canvas to get really unusual results rather than simply mixing on my palate. Can't do that with other acrylics. This is the paint of my choice and I'm happy I can find it here for a reasonable price, even in the larger bottles for the colors I use the most.
