Perfect for vintage components with RCA connections
I am a vintage audio junkie, and will pick up any promising looking piece of hardware secondhand, no matter what the connectors may be. In this case, I found a pristine pair of KLH model 20 speakers which have only a single RCA jack as their input. Rather than going through the trial and expense of converting to binding posts, I bought these little adapters to give them a whirl. They sound so good that I have just left them as they are and the adapters work perfectly. I have also used them on vintage receivers that have RCA speaker out rather than clips or binders. The price can’t be beat, and I would recommend.

A product that does just exactly what they are advertised to do!
My older generation sound system takes this size plugs for the speakers, turntables, radios, tape players etc. Thes work great I now have a bag full of these for future use. The screws clamp the wire securely and do not strip. I have no complaints with these at all and will use them again.

Fine for temporary setups, but lack of shielding causes hum
I used it to connect my subwoofer to my av receiver, but it caused the subwoofer to hum whenever it was on, likely due to a lack of shielding. I tried taping it up, but that didn't work. I'd recommend it for testing or temporary setups, but for permanent installations, you should just buy a proper cable.

Easy RCA plug to use
Great product. Anyone who has gone through the hassle of attaching wires to an RCA plug will appreciate these connectors. Important to follow positive and negative wiring requirements.

Great inexpensive solution to broken, missing or damaged RCA plugs.
I buy and test a lot of speakers and vintage gear. Many manufactures use RCA plugs for their amps, receivers and radios. I use these to test better quality speakers to some old gear. Some of those old 'off brand' 8 track, FM combo units are real sleepers and when connected to good speakers you really get to appreciate the build quality. Quick to attach any number of gauges of speaker wire and will also replace damaged or missing RCA jacks on speakers or patch cords. Use a good quality small flat blade screwdriver for secure attachment. I use colored marking tape, depending on purpose, for easy ID. The connections and sound quality has been plenty satisfactory for my uses. This is my second order.

Poor for decent sized multistrand cable
Remarkably poor design from my perspective. Other reviewers noted that it was hard to insert and keep the wire in. I suspect these might work fine for single strand, or gauges less than 14. However, for multi strand 14, even carefully spiraled, the connector's wedged shaped pressure device pushed out strands or the whole wire and it took several careful/frustrating manipulations to get them to tighten. Even then, as I clamped down, it pushed the wire out so there is conductor now showing outside the plug. I also encountered 60HZ hum for the first time with these connectors. I am throwing them away (not worth driving 30 miles to return them) and buying a long, prefabricated cable and skipping the frustration. I recommend using an alternative design or paying the freight for a premade cable.
