Cooking Grates for Weber Spirit 200 Series (Front Control)

A perfect replacement for the rusted grates on my Weber gas grill. Holding up well so far.

We bought a new camper this year that came with a small 17" griddle. We ended up loving it so much that we explored options for home. The stand-alone Blackstone's were too expensive, and we really didn't want to take up any more space on our deck. We came across this two-sided griddle that fits perfectly on one side of our Weber Spirit-200 grill, leaving the other side as the conventional grates that came with the grill. I like that the oil-drain opening is directly above the Weber's grease catch pan. The size is almost identically the same as the stand-alone one that came with our camper and is perfect for just us two. It is two-sided, but I chose to only use the flat griddle side. It's very heavy and feels like solid cast iron. It also heats up very quickly so I can begin cooking with in just a couple minutes of lighting the Weber. I'm very surprised how well it works. It would be nice if the lip around the back was higher to help as a back-stop for a spatula, but the fit is tight enough that the back of the Weber works just as well. I just make sure that I clean and condition that area with olive oil at the same time I as treat the griddle. Amazing cost savings versus buying a stand-alone unit and it's great that I didn't have to clutter up my deck with another grill.

I really tried to clean up the old grill grates on my Weber Spirit II but they were so awful and gummy that I decided to pitch them and look for a need set. After about 10 years they also had a little rust on them that I couldn't deal with so it was time to replace them. This set fit perfectly and were effortless to clean after the first use. They come with instructions on how to prepare them so that the food doesn't stick to them and I followed those directions and was very pleased with the results. These were an easy find on Amazon and the perfect fit for my aging Weber Spirit II.
