Canon PIXMA MP250 Inkjet Photo All-in-one Printer

At less than $40.00 the Canon PIXMA MP250 can't be beat. It's not lightening fast, but for home/student use - who cares? The quality of printing is excellent. For the all-in-one functionality it is a best buy. No, it dosn't include a fax, but with a scanner who needs it. Only negative - the paper handling tray is a little short, resulting in the paper becoming curled if left in the tray for any length of time. It has a larger footprint than older printers, but for a copier it's not huge. The cartridges are about twice as expensive (approx. $14.00) as my previous Canon printer, but they also appear significantly larger. Setup was easy and everything worked the first time. Very satisfied after two months.

Buy ink cartridges for printer before installing. The "new" ink cartridges provided with the product were dried out. I could not use them. Instead, I had to go out and buy new cartridges in order to use the printer I had just set up. This meant that the installation process could not be completed and test pages printed, until I purchased new cartridges. I found this frustrating. I purchased the printer for my 87-year-old dad who was familiar with this printer. I did not want to make my dad learn a new user interface. Printer is currently working great for my dad. My issue with the printer is due to the age of the product in the packaging. I am glad that the seller made this product available. It would be nice if the seller provided new cartridges for the printer because we are paying a lot for this older printer that has sat on the seller's shelves for a few years.

My printer arrived with a broken paper feed and empty ink cartridges. The cartridges would cost more than printer to replace.

I'm amazed at the negative reviews on this printer. We've had this printer for over 7 months now and it has been great. Good quality output, cartridges last a long time, menu options are clear and easy to use. We liked it so much we bought two as gifts and recently recommended it to our neighbor who was looking for a copier/printer combo. It IS noisy, but for someone who doesn't print that often, it's a great printer.

This printer replaced an HP that sucked! This printer has yet to run out of ink and we have printed at least 100 pages at this point. If you are looking for a cost efficient printer, without really the bells and whistles, that can also scan, this is the one. Trust canon products, especially since they are compatible with macs and I am a "Mac." No! this doesn't do stellar prints of pictures, but sorry, I didn't get a printer to do a professional's job down at the photo store. This is the best bang for your buck that I could find after researching for about three hours. This printer cannot be beat if you need a printer to do just a great job at what is should do: print.

It totally feels like a scam. The ink in this runs dry if you use it or not. We do not use a printer much at all but it's nice to have one when you have that last minute thing you need to print and your running out the door. The problem with this printer is we replace the carts and don't use it for a couple weeks and then when we go to use it again it only has enough ink for 3 pages of black text. WTH! The ink for this thing costs way to much to begin with and then for it to just disappear like that is absurd. I gave this 2 stars simply because of the scanner although we haven't needed to use it so I can't really say for sure how well that even works. I'm being nice and giving it the benefit of the doubt because I hate to leave 1 star reviews.

They were very helpful when I called with a question. So happy to find a good used printer which was the same as the one I had - especially since I had just bought new ink cartridges for the old printer.

My other Canon PIXMA MP250 started having issues. I purched some other Canon Printer, brought it home & discovered that only Walmart carries the ink for that printer. Everyday I went to Walmart to get more since I ran out & they never had anymore. I must have a scanner & printer. So when I found on here reasonably priced, I was elated! Item was packaged perfectly & shipped fast. Thank you! Highly recommend this store.
