Does not comply with the Battery Directive.
I have not yet used this item, however, Article 11 of the Batttery Directive states that the battery must be removable for recycling and that instructions on how to do so are included with the product. This item is marked recyclable, and CE marked. Neither of these claims can reasonably be supported by this product. Had I been aware of the lack of ability to replace the battery, I would have bought the slightly more expensive model which does allow the battery to be replaced and recycled.
