Dyson V8 Animal Cordless HEPA Vacuum Cleaner+ De-tangling Motorbar Cleaner Head+Hair Screw Tool+Combination Tool + Crevice Tool+Docking Station

Had this about 3 months and use once a week. Store in garage. Charger on a timer for night charging since garage is hot in day. About 2000 sq ft (with furniture etc) to vacuum. About 1/2 wood and tile floors. Uses about one blue light out of the three that show battery status. Carpet areas uses second light and goes into third. I am probably close to the end of its charge but I think I only ran out of power once. Has a high power setting. This will use up your battery very fast. Only had to use once or twice for a spill. You can not use it for regular vacuuming and it is not needed for that. Carpet can be a problem. Some of my carpets are very easy to go back and forth on. Others have a fabric that the suction is very very good on and can be hard to push the vacuum on. Should not be a problem. The vacuum head is very very easy to maneuver and get around furniture and under furniture. Last vacuum was and up right. This is much much better. Also had canister and this is much easier to use. The above assumes no use of the tools. I use these on a different day and could take more time than the vacuuming.

I have had a standard dyson plug in ball vac for 20 years and love it. When it came time to get a cordless i knew no other would do for me. It was an early Christmas present to myself and i just couldn’t wait to use it. Suction works great. Well worth getting the upholstery tool. Battery didn’t last as long as i had hoped and the device is pretty heavy so it forced me to take a break. But for occasional use or daily maintenance for my house full of dog hair it works great. Love it. Would definitely recommend. And if it’s anything like my other dyson it should last me a long time.

Wanted to use a few times before leaving review. So far it works great, has great suction, and really cleans. We have three dogs and two cats, so whether this model is any better than the normal one, but hardwood floors, non shaggy carpets is no problem for this unit. It does get "hung up" on some thicker floor mats, like in the bathroom. The brushes will just stop when its on a surface not suitable. Cleaning results are comparable to high dollar Rainbow, but obviously easier to manage. Some people complaining about the battery. We have a 1900 square foot home, and I can vacuum the entire house two times before having to recharge.

This unit is so versatile with so many attachments, and it has great suction power even on thick rugs. It’s been a great addition to our household. We have used it on hardwood floors, carpet, rugs, furniture, baseboards, crown molding, and cleaning the interior of the car.

This was very expensive to only last 2 years. The battery does not work longer than 10 minutes. Very disappointed!

I've been using this vacuum for over 3 years now. It is a very convenient vacuum. It does not do a great job on high pile carpet (would always recommend a corded vacuum for high pile carpet), but picks up dog hair on our rugs just fine. We have 4 large breed dogs, so I use this daily. If you're looking for a simple vacuum for hardwood, tile & area rugs, this vacuum will do just fine. The battery life was not good enough for me, so we converted it to be compatible with Dewalt batteries. Very happy that we did.

I have always wanted a Dyson but hesitated because of the price. i have a dog that sheds like crazy and i have to vacuum everyday. I decided i deserved a vacuum that was proven to be good. i am not disappointed! Very light and can get practically everywhere. Easy to empty and switch to just the handheld power. (like a dustbuster type thing)

I purchased this to have a smaller vacuum to use in the kitchen and entryway so I wouldn't have to pull out the larger vacuum for smaller areas. You could definitely use this in a small apartment, etc. without the need for a large version. Also, like how you can mount it to the wall in a closet, etc. which always keeps it charged and ready to go when needed.
