Good on electric guitar [0.009-0.062, tried]. Okay on bass [0.032 - 0.145, roundwound, tried.]
What can be special in an innocuous piece of tiny little "hard-something" to sound the guitar string? Poor and fancy-free, as amateur players, we tried everything from laminated plastic, sanded-down molded plastic, metal alloys, shells, bone, coins with various compositions, coat buttons. . . A detailed list would be a hundred items, maybe, including actual cheap-picks of various makes and elite-signatures. We learned, good-technique, right firmness, hard-wearing material, comfortable thickness and smooth edges are the basics of any decent pick & style-of-picking. We fashioned our own, saved a tiny pile, over the years. Then, we chanced upon JP, mostly, pulled by the name of the artist, 'cause we dig his music. Wow! Did it not make a difference! John & Jim got this so right! It has all the attributes of a great pick, and, then some. Many of us, intermidiate onwards, tried it on Electric, with prog, rock, metal, blues and jazz. Most beginners felt very comfortable, too. Pick IS a preference, foremost. Yet, Technique being sacrosanct, it is Fast, Accurate and Articulate. Whether one is strumming, tremelo-picking, shredding, angling or sweeping, it does not disappoint. Not much noise-on-string. There may be better options for Accoustic or Classical, though, depending on the players style and needs. One unforeseen after-effect, which made us wince with mirth and pain, we played so very long, non-stop, all of a sudden, buoyed by the pleasant discovery that a pick could indeed be truly-signature, most of us had arm fatigue. Thanks, John & Jim.

Best picking surface, great sound.
Best pick I have used so far. It's thick, light and pointy Hold the pick 6 inches off the floor and drop it. It's quite surprising how a piece of plastic makes a metallic ringing sound. The picking area is quite smooth and glides off the strings nicely. Good for playing lead.

Best pick for experienced players... not for begginers.
BEST pick for fast and accurate picking... i Love it ! Just buy eyes blind... However, requirements are set : You are required be a late begginer or intermediate player. Desclaimer : Don't buy if you early begginer or just started... because its hard 1.5mm and wouldn't fit your playing. Also, its good for shredding, fast picking not chording aand strumming.

It's different as shown in the picture.
Jp picks is good but what it doesn't satisfied me is that both the sides of the pick has JP logo instead of John Petrucci jazz III as shown in Amazon page.

Satisfied with this product
Just perfect! I recommend it to "Jazz 3 Jim dunlop" users to try this JP signature pick. It feels more accurate and takes very less efforts in string switching or skipping.

Wayy too expensive!
These are great picks, but are very expensive. Please consider lowering the price. They are not worth 800 rupees in any way

Its very smooth and there is no friction. I recommend this if you like soloing and riffing both. Stay metal!

I quite like these.. They are pointy and therefore accurate in fast passages. They last longer than tortex picks of the same outline. They are flat, unlike beveled Ultex jazz3s and so many players will prefer this aspect of these picks to what is really the standard. If you like the undersized, medium sharp jazz3 profile, these might accidentally be the best ones on the market right now. They are actually slightly larger than regular jazz 3 picks and i like them more than primetones which are noticeably smaller... The only pick of this profile i like more is the regular Ultex version, (Oh wait, and 205s, if those count. Those are truly great for fast passages too) and that mainoly comes down to the bevel of those picks- They are thick in the center and thin out toward the point. They wear superbly. These wear decent, as they are flatpicks, many player will like these more. They don't take a bit of a learning curve to use if you've played other jazz3s, like beeveled picks such as ultex3s or stubbies.. The textured surface keeps them in hand and I actually quite like the polished edges (This is a feature of some pricier Flow picks and now, having gotten used to it, i think all picks should have polished edges). I think they are universally good picks for fast, single-line playing and associated genres such as bluegrass, jazz and metal. You really don't even have to know who John Petrucci is to appreciate them. I've watched a number of my students switch to these as they play faster music. I, myself, have used these and ultex 3s exclusively when teaching electric guitar for the past two years. I will go out on a limb and call them the best artist series pick ever released. I think that's true..
