Best moss for orchids
This review is specifically in the context of growing orchids. It is the only moss I will use for my orchids now, after trying many brands over the years. It is very, very good quality, clean, minimal debris, long, wide strands of quality moss. Excellent water retention because of how full and thick the strands are. I have never yet received a bad batch. Instructions for preparing for storage: It is not ideal to take strands directly from the dry block for use, as they will break and tear and make a mess. The best way to prepare this moss is to hydrate the entire block once you receive it in a sink of water. This will take about 30 minutes. Once the block is completely separated, drain the water and gently squeeze all the water from the moss. lay the moss out on a flat surface to completely dry. I put it out in the sun and it took about eight hours to completely dry. Then you can put it away and it will be ready to use whenever you need it.

The best of the best sphagnum moss for orchids
I use this high quality moss for all All 55 of my orchids. I love the long fluffy strands; I find the moisture level stays equalized in pot instead of creating dry pockets which I find happens in the small short magnum moss (different brands).

Besgrow Sphagnum Moss is a superior product
I watched a lot of YouTube orchid videos and most, when they mentioned the brand of sphagnum moss, they used Besgrow Premium NZ Sphagnum Moss. Upon receiving my order from Amazon, I was impressed with the quality of it. Prior to Besgrow, the sphagnum moss I'd bought was of a much lower quality and usually had a lot of hard material included in the moss. Besgrow sells a very clean sphagnum moss, and I've found very little "junk" that gets past their processing. I keep Besgrow Sphagnum Moss at all times in my box of orchid barks, mixes, and other potting materials. The old saying "you get what you pay for" is so true when buying sphagnum moss. You can find deals only that are a bit cheaper, but unless you've had a solid recommendation from someone who uses it you're likely to get an inferior grade of moss. Besgrow Sphagnum Moss you can trust to be a superior product and I highly recommend it!

Very nice moss but slightly expensive
I really like this moss, despite having to pick out alittle bit of debris(shown in photo). It holds the mosture very well and provides what my plants need. This 12L pack makes an approximately 49x5 moss pole with a 5 inch space on the bottom for soil or bark. So I actually have 44x5 of the pole filled with moss. I would buy this moss again but wish it was ess expensive.

Regenerates!
I love this moss because it reliably regenerates into fresh green LIVE moss. I have a very large pinguicula collection and a few terrariums, so this "feature" is desirable and it's a sustainable option - just one pack to get started, then an endless supply of moss for more projects. For best results, rehydrate with distilled or RO water, keeping it just on the wet side of moist, and blast it with very bright light. My fastest growing batches are always the containers that sit about 6" below a 100w equivalent, 5k white LED flood light bulb. I don't even need to cover it to retain humidity. It starts greening up in about 2-3 weeks (you can tell it's regenerating because it's a more vivid green than algae is). In about a month the new first tufts are growing in and in 2-3 months it is grown out a lush layer of long fiber strands. I also find having live sphagnum in my propagation boxes is more effective - less inclined to mold and rot my cuttings and I suspect it helps with gas exchange for the cuttings' tiny baby roots. The Besgrow spagmoss in the compressed packs will not regenerate - it must be these loose bales. For some reason, I haven't been able to regenerate other brands, either. I think the vacuum and pressure for the compressed boards eliminate all living cells, while these loose bales are just dehydrated, so the cells just go dormant until rehydrated. Highly recommend for carnivorous plants, terrariums, moss poles, and top dressing for moisture-loving plants. The pics included is my ping nursery, a project I just did about a month ago for my leaf pullings. The moss was taken from a bale I got a year ago and you can see it is still able to come back.

Really clean Moss
This is the best and cleanest spagnum moss. It is the only one that I along with many other orchid growers use.

Solid product for price
Great moss, come in really tight packaging. Do not rip it apart in an open area. Tear apart in a small container and wet it as you need. Takes only a little bit of time to get it wet and ready for use.
