I received the item VERY dry. I’ve oiled it many times and it still has a quality to it that feels dry, but I realized recently that I think it’s actually a finish issue. The rolling pin I received needs more fine grit sanding! It works well enough, but the rough quality feels poorly made and picks up lint easily. If you want a French rolling pin — there are better options!

This is an excellent tool. Almost too pretty to use. But I used it anyway. Always wanted to try this French style pin. Works wonderfully. -Ken

An extremely good quality French Rolling Pin. Works very well on pastry and pasta dough, we have not yet tried it on bread but are looking forward to it. A very good tool for the cost. Well worth it.

The rolling pin is great! Just make sure not to leave it soaking in water because it is not lacquered.
