Would these help reduce the appearance of red eyes, as the cooling green packaged ones would?

Probably. They work very well at alleviating my dry eyes and reduce the itchy feeling that goes with it. I suppose they do reduce redness as they seem to reduce inflammation. They are effective for me for several hours after dosing. Other products I've used work for a very short time, maybe an hour, if I'm lucky.
