First off I'm beginning all this with how much I love Silver! Most of these stories are of girls who are whiney and have literally no backbone this is not the case with Silver shes is one tuff cookie! That made this a 5star book just with her character!Kirk.. He grew on my like mold.. I just couldnt help but fall in love with him too.I'm a huge fan of kidnapping sex slave dark stories so this was quite a treat because this story was a bit predictable but that didn't bother me I was very happy with the pace and way the story formed. Now there are MANY MANY trigger warnings so if your not a fan of rape.. Kidnapping..murder..kinkiness or abuse this book is NOT for you. But if your willing to take a chance you will not be sorry..**spoilerly**This book ends in a hard fought HEAThis can standalone but their is another book in "kirks" POV that contuinues this series..

This is the first book I have read from this author and she blew my mind. I love a good dark romance but this story exceeded all my expectations. This is the first book to the Serpentine series. I was hooked on the very first page and I could not stop until the end. These characters kept me awake at all hours of the night. It only took me a few hours to devour this incredible book.This young woman wakes up into a very scary world. She is stripped of everything she knew including her name. Sliver is her new name and her new job is to serve these men that she now hates. She is assigned to her Master and she is his to do what he pleases. Silver doesn’t want to lose herself so she tries to fight but she keeps on losing. Her new Master is really cold but he still protects her. Silver quickly starts to fall for her Master Kirk. She hated him in the beginning but now she feels something for him she doesn’t understand. Silver starts to break down some of Kirk’s walls and she is told a secret that could get them both killed. Will Silver escape from this nightmare or will become a slave forever?I absolutely loved this book. The storyline has it all mystery, suspense, love, and healing. You will fall in love with these characters right from the beginning. Silver is very brave and strong from what she had to endure. She is fighter and also strong willed. Silver is my favorite female character I have read this year. Kirk is a very dark and cold. He is Silver’s Master but deep down her cares for her. When Kirk shows his real self you will make him a hero not a villain. These two characters have some steamy scenes that will make your toes curl. I want to warn that some scenes might be a little hard to read for some readers. This talented author will keep you on the edge of your seat until the very end. The ending left me in complete shock. I can’t wait to see what this author will have for us next.

OMG I couldn’t get enough of this book. It was a deliciously dark page turner, I just couldn’t put it down… I had to know what happened next!I loved the interactions between Kirk and Silver right from the beginning, I loved the smugness they both had towards each other and the stubbornness within them knowing what I know getting to the end of this book. I did feel like Silver gave in way too easily at the beginning though without struggles and without more fight that I knew was within her. But she did end up growing and I just loved her character by the end.I loved the darkness about Kirk but also loved the soft side he showed whenever he was with Silver alone, my heart just melted in those moments (and omg that surprise about him?!). I desperately wanted to get inside his head just to know what he was thinking…gah! I loved his character and everything he has been/is going through.Such an amazing read and I can’t wait to get stuck into the next book.

Wow! And just wow. Hot, disturbing and interesting!Skye Callahan doesn’t hold anything back in her stories. You want twisted? You want dark? You want heart wrenching? You want the possibility of romance? Read this book. It is book one in the Serpentine series or the Irrevocable Duet. (There seems to be some name changing going on with this book.) It is a dark romance that makes your skin crawl and makes you wonder about each character.One young woman has her identity taken from her, so she creates a new one, she becomes Silver. In a world of sex, lies and pain there is survival and growth and maybe even love. Kirk is a Dom Master. He is not looking for a sub but he finds one in Silver. There is just something about these two that draws them to each other. Kirk has a secret that may destroy everything he and Silver have been building together.I loved how Silver is a super strong character. She is in a heartbreaking, terrifying situation with no hope of getting out, but she learns a few things for her survival. I loved the twists and turns and the fast paced action through-out the story.“I felt completely alone with no one to talk to about my feelings, to ask if I was really doing the right thing. I had to look inside myself for those answer, and it terrified me.”I can only recommend this story to those with an open mind and strong stomach. This story includes human trafficking and violence and may even include triggers for those with abusive pasts. For everyone else hang on! I can only hope book 2 is just as good!

Where do I start with this review? Can you just look in my head and see the jumble mess the author just left me in?? No ok I'll try and put into words what I thought.This book is what it says in the synopsis... Plus so much more. Its a really dark story that's gonna have you thinking 'what the hell am I reading'. I sat and read this in one sitting. It got under my skin. On several occasions I shaked my head thinking how can I seriously like reading this book. Yes it's that kinda book.This is a phenomenal written by a fantastic author.Warning: This isn't your rainbows and love sonnets kind of romance. This story explores topics of abduction and slavery, and contains explicit scenes of graphic violence and (non-con/dub-con)

A dark and twisted tale this book will have you on the edge of your seating throughout.We follow the life and capture of Silver - the only name she is allowed to use having been stripped of everything. Captured and help by Her Master she is reliant on him for everything.Silver has to adapt, she has to learn how to survive, even if that means placing her trust into the hands of the one she fears the most.With nothing left to her Silver comes to learn how to live with her new life. And however twisted and depraved he may be she also learns to live with Her Master.This book utterly enthralled me. There were times when I could feel my heart pounding from how much the story had me gripped. I was fascinated by Silver and her situation, by her Master. The book was so well written you couldn’t help but keep reading, page after page. The story is dark and twisted but is well worth the read.

Irrevocable by Skye Callahan5 Stars!!!!! Well now I am in total book bliss. I have once again found a new author and book series that has totally gripped me and held me from page one. This is a very unique genre to me and I am so glad that I have had the opportunity to read this. I found that this book was just the right amount of drama to keep me glue to the pages and yearning to find out what was gonna happen next.The complexity of the relationship between ‏Kirk and Silver is very complex and twisted and dark. Even though the whole scenario of this book is a bit out of my comfort zone I really enjoyed it. This book is very dark and makes the reader come face to face with our world today. There are places out there that could be similar to the settings of this book and I found that I was putting myself in Silver's place trying to think about how I would or wouldn't act or react. I really look forward to reading more form this author and this series in future.

Irrevocable: An Abduction Dark Romance by Skye Callahan is the first book in the Serpentine Duet and my first read by this author. I will most definitely be reading the next in this series.Silver wakes up in a basement, surrounded by men she doesn't know and has no recollection of how she got there. There's no way she is going to make it out of there alive, is there?Kirk, doesn't want to see anything bad happen to Silver but can't let her go. He can protect her by making her his slave, will she see that he's trying to help?This was a great read. I would recommend this to anyone who likes a dark storyline. This one shocked me, had me cringing at some parts and wishing I could read through my fingers at others, didn't stop me from reading it though.

ok this was definitely a walk on the dark side you should really listen to the warnings at the beginning , this book will not be for everyone. WOW I am trying to find the right words this story had me turning pages and not wanting to stop, I loved how strong rose was but she was still believable and I didn't know how to feel about kirk I wanted to hate him at times but I couldn't. Skye wrote some very vile and sadistic bad guys and a story with twists and turns that kept me guessing and although dark the love story between kirk and silver was wonderfully written. I have become a fan of Skye's and although this was my first book by her it will defiantly not be the last. If you like dark romance or are looking for something different I would highly recommend this one fabulous book can't wait for the second one.
