Effective for cleaning and removing the plastic stuck in the grooves. Have to be careful to use the right edge depending on club type. Would have been helpful had they numbered the different cleaning edges and specified which edge is best for which brand of clubs.

Good product

I am not sure if it will create any more spin or actually sharpen the grooves. I did use it on all my clubs to smooth some rough grooves, and scars, and lips on the club faces. It worked quickly and very well. I squirted a little oil on each club face and ran it across each groove several times. When I wiped a rag across the faces, I could see some metal filings from the work it did. Definitely took out all the blemishes and cleaned the grooves.

Interesting gadget. Looks like it works. Will have definitive opinion after a few more iron/wedge approach shots.

The tool does not appear to be adequately hardened to truly sharpen grooves. Before I had even attempted to re-groove one wedge, the tips of several of the 6 heads were extremely worn. The handle is small and uncomfortable and I soon gave up using this "tool" and used a screwdriver to much greater effect. Save yourself some money and keep clear of this item.

Difficult to use

My husband loves this tool. He uses it several times throughout the season to keep his club's grooves nice and clean. Worked great on his wedges. So good it put cut marks in his ball after a great wedge shot into the green. Ruined the ball, but worth the birdie!
