Faber-Castell Pitt Pastel Pencil Set - Pack of 36

The marks are simple and sulluble

This is the first time n unique experience with the graphite water soluble pencils and I must say that I am surprised with the darkness and blending capacity these pencils have. In terms of the look, these pencils look stunning n give you a feel of an artist. They are very light in weight although they are thicker than normal graphite pencils. I also had a great experience with Steadlier pencils, but they are quite competitive in quality n price to those pencils. So go blindly with the choice for this set if you love to use watercolor media or mix media. Technique that I used in the above image is applying a light pressure first and then applying water to it. Let it dry and then again apply the strokes of graphite to give smooth lustre black texture. The texture received by the pencils in this price range is appealing. They can be used for landscape as well as with water color pencils. Let me experience with them. I will come back with my new n unique experience.

The painting says it all. Though I used charcoal too. But this is nice prodict but best result gives when used on patel or midium grained hard paper. 1down side this 36 box pack doesn't have pure primare Red.

I'm a great fan of FAber castell producs whether its polychromos or albrechtdurer,ot pitt artist pens or its 9000 graphite all are wonderfully crafted and high quality products.Having said that this pitt pastel pencils are also well crafted but color selection lean towards more neutrals best for portrait and animal drawings.But for florals and scenery or still life the color selection disappoint me.But the quality of the pencils are supreme not even face single breakage (i'm using mobus &ruppert dual hole round sharpener)..over all compare to stabilo carothello this piit pastel doen't have wide variety of color selection also its bit harder than carbothelo but far better than derwnt

These water soluble graphite pencils work great as a travel tool, just carry a water brush along and you can make your sketches more painterly I have shared an in-depth video on how to use these pencils on my YouTube channel

Amazing pencils . Very affordable .I have a lot of Faber Castell sets but water soluble graphite pencils are good for outdoor sketching .all you need is a good brush and water.you can also create nice washes out of these.be sure you are using above 180 or 200 GSM paper

These are great to for drawing on canvas's with as when your painting the lines just disappear into the paint. The are also great to do black and white watercolor drawings with.

Wonderful pencils! Very opaque and smudgy. Blending is very easy while drawing, and you can set it with a sealer spray when you're done with it. The colors are absolutely gorgeous. Just the quality I've come to expect from Faber Castell. The feel is more scratchy/chalk-like than soft, fyi. But the results are undeniable.
