Sensitive Skin Anti-Irritation Shaving Soap With Green Tea and Oatmeal

This soap is absolutely brilliant! Easy to lather up the brush and work it into the stubble. Has enough fat for the perfect slickness. Retains moisture and does not dry up halfway through the shave. Finally, it has a mild fragrance that lingers around for a few hours after your shave. Overall, great shaving soap in the same league as TOBS, Mitchell's, Extro Cosmesi etc.

Very happy with the quality of the product. The wait time was longer than usual products but I am enjoying the nice lather and razor glide when I use the shaving soap.

Shave with a cold water splash No pre-shave Used Parker 98 R (balanced to medium aggressive close comb) with Starmaxx superior platinum black- excellent combination (for me). Disclaimer - blade received to review by Starmaxx Note - blade on its 2nd use today. I still find this blade deceptively mild. You may think resistance but the end result is a super comfortable shave. It is almost as if the blade holds back just to ensure you don't nick yourself. Proraso white (tea tree and a surprisingly nice mentholated kick) applied using Groomd matt finish resin handle (synthetic) - face lather To my nose, there is an immediate hit of tea tree or at least something leafy. This is a water hog which is a good sign in a soap and then the menthol really kicks in. I had to pause and check if there is menthol at all and indeed, right in the middle of the contents. Yes, this is definitely my favourite out of the three (red, green and white) or maybe as nice as green (which is camphor, eucalyptus and menthol - just wow). Contents pic uploaded. First pass - with the grain Second pass - across the grain Alum (zilch) Post shave included application of The Man Company after shave lotion (witch hazel and definitely alcohol based) Note - new after shave lotion in the den and wow, what a burn. This is a bluish runny liquid which has a nice not so alcohol kick, with menthol and witch hazel. Love it. Too expensive in my opinion, Botnik essentials alcohol and witch hazel based lotion is a cost effective alternative. But what really sets apart this after shave lotion by man company (and maybe that is why the price) is the infusion of chamomile and tea tree. Now, that lingers really well post the shave. La primera impresión no dice mucho, pero una vez aplicado es muy bueno, una espuma consistente y que humecta y protege bien la piel, el aroma es suave, nada que moleste, el que pueda sacarse del bote permite que se seque bien y dure más...

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Eccezionale per pelli sensibili! Sono un appassionato di rasatura tradizionale da anni, e ho sempre cercato prodotti che possano prendersi cura della mia pelle sensibile. Il sapone da barba Proraso per pelli sensibili è stato una scoperta incredibile per me. La ciotola rende l'applicazione del sapone molto comoda e la fragranza è fresca e discreta. La cosa più importante è che questo sapone da barba è estremamente delicato sulla pelle. Non ho mai avuto irritazioni o arrossamenti dopo la rasatura, il che è una rarità per me. Crea una schiuma ricca e cremosa che facilita la rasatura e protegge la pelle. Inoltre, il fatto che sia prodotto in Italia, un paese noto per la sua tradizione di rasatura di alta qualità, è sinonimo di garanzia. La confezione da 150 ml sembra piccola, ma in realtà dura a lungo perché ne è necessaria una quantità molto ridotta per ogni rasatura.

I've been using this Proraso for a few months now and it is by a long way one of the best shaving soaps I've experienced. Using a decent brush and technique it whips up into a fantastic lather that lasts for the whole shave, unlike many foams and gels, thick enough to provide good protection and lubrication against a double-edge blade, but not so thick as to clog up cartridges. After the shave it leaves my skin feeling quite pleasant unlike some that can have a bit of a dessicating effect, and even my throat which has particularly sensitive skin rarely has any irratation afterwards. The scent is light and pleasant, no stong chemical scent to it (pleasantly non-irritating if a bit of it gets in one's nostri), and, for better or worse, once shaving is done the scent won't linger long. As a solid block soap it will last months even with daily use and for the price it makes for good economic sense. If I were pressed for a demerit it would be that you will need a decent shaving brush to make best use. All in all it makes for an outstanding daily use shaving soap. You could do a lot worse for a lot more money.
