The World of the Witcher

If you're like me you would appreciate everything related to the witcher universe. For me Playing the witcher 3 was a experience of a lifetime. I get the same experience by reading this book and I love every bit of it. Note that this book is based on the games and not the book series. Book is great in itself with lots of illustration to immerse you into the world and the overall quality is worth the price. Thanks.

I became totally hooked to Witcher series after playing the first 2 games in the saga. When The Witcher 3:Wild Hunt came out, whole of my world got sucked inside the Witcher Universe. I completed the game(took a staggering 200+ hrs and I intend to do a 2nd playthrough as well), I was still inclined to know more about it's lore, stories, magic, monsters and people residing there...basically I was hungry for more. That's when I came across The World Of The Witcher Compendium at Amazon. Placed order immediately and the book reached me within 2 weeks(well before the expected delivery date). The Book has a hard binding with a total of 180+ shiny pages with numerous illustrations, beautiful artworks and quotations to fill your fantasy hunger about the Witcher world. The book is divided into 6 segments including Intoduction, The world, The witcher, Magic, The Beasts and lastly The story of Geralt of Rivia. It cleared my understanding of great many things which left me wondering while in-game. The book is recommended for both new comers to the series as well as old hardened Witcher fans.

This is a must have for any fans of the Witcher series. The sheer amount of artworks and information provided in the well bound hardback is next to none!! This isn't just an concept art showcase but provides a deeper look into the workings of elements of the Witcher world. A perfect addition to your coffee table to spark exciting conversations with your friends.

It is a great book in my opinion, and not just for someone wanting to get up to speed before playing the Witcher 3. It gives the essential details about the world, the characters, the factions, and the story so far. It even includes details from the novels that never made themselves evident in the games. Production quality is great and the book is a good keeper for your collection. The quality of the descriptions and the artwork are alone worth it.

Since we are doing the Witcher reviews this week, I shall also do the same for this piece of videogame compendium. Now when I grew up, we didn't have that great access to the internet. Sure it was around, but not as rampant as it is today. So for everything we had one answer: Encyclopedia. This is an encyclopedia for the Witcher 3. The World of the Witcher arrived this morning and it's a complete glossary of everything you need to know about the game, the NPCs, the monsters and locations. If you are diving deep into the game and looking for first hand knowledge about all's all in the Continent, you will love this. I rate it four star since the cover was a bit damaged at the edges, but that's something I'm willing to look past.

If you love the Witcher universe, you should definitely get this. Rich colours, quality pages, edge to edge printing, and awesome artwork.

The book was wrapped in plastic. I was surprised when I saw it. This is the first book I received from Amazon with plastic wrapping. I was surprised and happy.

Simply amazing. I brought this book when I brought Witcher 3 so I could learn more about the world of the game series and thus be more clued in once I started playing the game. Upon receiving and reading the book I was amazed by how thick the book is and how in-depth the book goes into every aspect of the witcher world, from detailed sections of world politics through time, the monsters to be found in game and a general history of the world, my favorite section being the section solely dedicated to the Witcher's and Witcher schools themselves. I must say that the book is amazingly well-written, with each section written from the point of view of individual characters in the game series, all this is accompanied by some of the most beautiful game art and design I've ever anywhere, period. Overall for anyone who has read the books and played the games or wants to start like I did, this book is a must have and I couldn't recommend it anymore.
