WIX Racing Filters Fuel/Water Separator

I'm not sure why the fuss about the plastic that this is made of. I am on my second plastic one, and I seriously could care less. I tried to use a cheaper metal filter from the local auto parts store, and it did not fit. I fought it for about an hour because I thought the problem was on my end. That, and with the metal filter, I had to change it through the passenger wheel well because of the shape of it, it wasn't easily accessible through the top. After that struggle, I purchased the WIX 33960 (I have a 2003 Duramax with the LB7) and it fit perfectly. As you can see in the picture the WIX filter tapers slightly at one end, which I think helps with the fit. So what, it is a plastic filter - it works... I haven't had any leaks on either one, and I change them about 20k miles. Some complain that it is easy to cross-thread the WIF sensor, or the filter itself - I didn't have any issues. It went on perfectly. Make sure you replace the O rings on each end, as I notice that they have been a bit cracked on each change. (New O Rings are included with this filter) The WIX 33960 fits through the mess in the top of the engine compartment, making changing the filter a process that takes me about 15 min. start to finish, with re-priming the system. I do not put any fuel in the filter before I reinstall it, which requires a little more work re-priming, but I also make very little mess. You can't beat the Amazon price for this filter either. I believe it is about $20 cheaper than my local auto parts store, and ships for free.

Quality filter would not use any other brand

Always use wix. I tried ac delco because thats what was available at advanced auto. Worst mistake. Wix all the way

This is the 2nd Wix filter that I've used on my LML. I feel these are superior to the AC Delco that I have recently purchased.

Great price compared to part stores, great product, no leaks, only reason for 4 stars is because the packaging was severely damaged, but the product inside was still good, would buy again!!!

Great price on these. I use these on my 2007 GMC Duramax. I was a but nervous because when I opened the delivery up the filter boxes were in bad shape. Looked like the we're in an airplane accident but the product itself was good.

Can never go wrong with this fuel filter for the Duramax. Works , lasts as long as it’s installed correct wix is a great brand for fuel filters

Bought for my duramax lly. Have not installed this one but have used this filter before. Easy install fits well. Tapered body makes easier to spin in. Delivered before expected delivery date. Last one I bought from local parts store was over $80Cad, so much more reasonably priced!

I bought this for my 2003 gmc 3500 sierra thinking it would be amazing with all the good reviews it has. the fuel filter busted after couple weeks of use, the truck went on limp mode and it was heating so fast after. i couldn’t go over 20km, thankfully my truck didn’t blow up. be careful everyone. safety first, do your research thoroughly. stay safe!!!
