The Heart of the Five Love Languages

Awesome book!!! Everyone should read it. This book is the a short version from the original. The original book has the testimonies and life stories of other relationships and counseling sessions. This book went straight to the point and your able to read this book in a few hours or less. It' an easy read and the book is a hard cover good to put in your purse or a back pocket because it's small and thin. I love this book because it helps you define how you love and helps you to pin point your spouse, partner or any love one love language. This book helps you to communicate your love for your spouse and your children. The 5 love languages book is not just for someone who is married but for everyone no matter what your martial status is. I recommend everyone to read this book.

The 5 Love Languages is one of the best publications I know on a topic which concerns most of us humans and causes headaches, confusion and despair - love realtionships including marriages. Gary Chapman's concept of the 5 languages not only is thoroughly researched and based on facts, it is also presented in a form and language a non scientific human can read and understand. Based on experience and actual cases the reader can easily find himself or his relationship and while you read along you get lots of these "ah, thats what it is" relevations about your own situation and this helps you to find solutions for a problem which bothered and puzzled you for years. The lecture gave me a deep insight in WHAT went wrong in my previous relationships and WHY it went wrong. More importantly it put me in the position to recognize potential dangers in my current relationship and thus is giving me a fair chance to avoid damage. I now have a totally different approach to the mystery of relationships and my new knowledge is a very efficient tool to make it work. Thank you Gary! :)

This isn't the full book. This contains highlights of the original book. I guess that's why it's called "The Heart of the 5 Love Languages." It takes all of about fifteen minutes to read. The material is good though - a reminder to love your spouse the way they want/need to be loved! It is a good read but really short...might be good for someone with a short attention span or for someone who doesn't really enjoy reading.

This is the second Gary Chapman relationship advice book I have purchased. I would greatly recommend this book to anyone whether you are dating, engaged, married or even single. I feel this book can help not only your relationship with others but at the same time gain a better understanding of yourself. If you dont truly know yourself then how can you work with someone else to make a relationship great? Well worth the purchase. I would especially recommend this book to military members. I purchased a second copy for my spouse so we could read this together while we were geographically separated by 5K miles. It helped us understand better our love languages and how to effectively communicate with each other. Hope this helps!

A must for all. The love languages are an easy way to understand how each of thinks & feels.it's a must for all relationships. For instance, one of my love languages is receiving gifts. I would occasionally purchase little gifts for my son & wonder why he wasn't excited. He was thankful but not as reactive as I. We tend to believe others speak the same language as us & wonder why they under react. My son love language is affirmations & physical contact. My ex husband love language were affirmations. If we learn another's love language & they learn ours we all feel more loved & appreciated. This equals better relationships & feeling of equality. And its so easy to read & understand. Sometimes its the only relationship "how to" book needed.

I'm not sure if I made a mistake in reading the discription of this book or if the discription was inaccurate. I expected the full book when ordering. This was a small gift book. Kind of a synopsis of sorts, just a summary of the book vs the actual book itself. So for that reason I am not satisfied. However it is a nice little book in good condition, so I am keeping to give as a gift. These are the reasons I only gave it a 3 star.

Very informative and truly life alternating if you take seriously. I’ve learned a lot about myself and my partner. Finding out your partners love language is truly insightful and vice versa.

I had gotten the other book on the five languages of love for singles right away. It came with a tiny preview book of this one so its seems like it would be really goog, but unfortunately I never received it. I need to figure out what company I went through because I wont use them again. Its been a month and I finished the other book 3 weeks ago. I am disappointed in the bookstore though. The book itself Im sure is very good. The other one for singles really helped me in my relationship with my boyfriend. I knew right away I was physical touch because I always talked with my boyfriend about how he wasnt affectionate enough and found out he was acts of service because hes always doing nice things for me, so understanding that, we are much better now. :)

All time favorite book. I often buy multiples to give out as gifts, wedding presents, or when I need a refresher. Great for Christians and non-Christians alike!

A book which must be read by everybody. It explains how people behave, how people react and how people could improve their daily relationship with people around if they know each other's behavioral language. Easy to read, small pocket size book. Worth the money as it can change your relationship and make things more clear.
